A tree full of screeching bats...
A tree full of SCREECHING BATS????!!!!!
They were covering a group of trees all around me and making all kinds of noise (I thought it was birds at first...). A fern brushed up against my leg when I was taking the pictures and I just about poo-poo plattered all over the ground.
But, I was able to regain my composure and, after a few minutes, was doing okay....until I walked past this....
So much for sleeping for the next week or so...
Oh Lord....it only took 4 days to reference the poo. Honestly, the spider would have illicited a plotz.

ReplyDeleteTraveling doesn't affect my poo mind, you know that. No snakes, thanksfully (and "thanks" for adding that into my mind). And I guess I should have expected bats. I should have called this blog "Winning Lottery Number"...that might have worked out better all around.
ReplyDeleteWhat the H kind of freaking spider IS that?!! Argh, are those BABY ones scattered throughout the web, preparing to launch themselves onto unsuspecting passersby?! GAH! Shouldn't the bats be EATING those?
ReplyDeleteEeep... honestly, Ethel, I'd WELCOME a snake or two at this point! Those looked like rather sizable bats... a hearty snake meal if ever I saw one. Or two. Or hundreds. Again, GAH, I say!
I know...I KNOW! I have no idea what kind of spider it was, but I do know that it is the kind of spider that I hope I never see again. The bats are fruit bats unfortunately...perhaps I'll toss a fruit cup into the web and hope for the best.
