57 YouTubers - We Are The World

When I think of the message of this song, I think of everyday people coming together from all over the world to make a difference.

These 57 singers from YouTube did an amazing job and, I think, this is a far more affecting version of "We Are The World" than the generic celebrity-laden remake that is out now (and, thankfully, no irritating Wyclef Jean screeching in the background).

What do you think?

  1. Not only does it pack a more emotional punch I have far greater respect for the time these participants put into it. Celebrities who whine about the little amount of time they have and publicize and applaud themselves for doing things for free or giving to charity drive me nuts. These are real people with real concerns (rent, food, gas money...) taking their much more valuable time to raise awareness. Good for them and good for all the people who must have taken time to submit but were not included. Those are real heros.

  2. Very well put! They really did a great job and you can tell there are some very talented singers in there. Hopefully something good will come out of it for them.

  3. This is spectacular on so many levels I don't know where to start. This is the kind of thing that gives me hope.

I also love that these people are so freaking talented that their voices transcend the "bathroom reverb."

  4. I know...I was wondering about how they eliminated the bathroom reverb. I never sound that good when I sing in the shower.

Of course...that has nothing to do with reverb.

  5. There are 1000 things in this world that make me weep....one thousand and one.

As long as people play nice, I won't have to stop this car.
