In the past few days, I've read about three "combo" holiday meals that, visually, make me throw up in the back of my throat a bit. The first being Turducken which is chicken stuffed inside a duck...stuffed inside a turkey.

And if you don't want to go through all that stuffing trouble, why not try a Turkey Cake?

This mouth-watering creation is made up of a layer of sweet potatoes, stuffing, and Turkey loaf with a mashed potatoes icing that is topped with brown marshmallows.

And what, you must be wondering, goes best with that? Why...Cherpumple, of course.

That would be Cherry Pie + Pumpkin Pie + Apple Pie = Cherpumple

These creations all remind me of that episode of Friends where Rachel made a traditional English dessert, but accidentally combined that recipe with a Shepard's Pie recipe...

"It's a trifle. It's got all of these layers. First there's a layer of ladyfingers, then a layer of jam, then custard, which I made from scratch, then raspberries, more ladyfingers, then beef sauteed with peas and onions, then a little more custard, and then bananas, and then I just put some whipped cream on top!"

To which Ross later replied: "It tastes like feet."

Bring me a bucket!

  1. OK, I am seriously about to barf, thank god I had some beer and somehow my body refuses to release it, but if I didn't have the beer, I'd barf. I could stand a slaughtered farm easier than those pics. p.s. Possible layout for Joels next party? It could be a ridiculous theme like... Fear Factor with alcohol. I'd go.

  2. Oh and yeah, your still a great photographer, enough to see that bird sliced meat so up close with oozing fluids and jelly like trans tainted mixture of bird slime, probably not giving off a good smell at all. Worst thing is it looks like a horrible bad messed up vagina impressionistic artwork, and almost ready to barf again. Great work Ken!

  3. After that description, I think I may hurl too. I didn't take the pics of the food...hopefully I'll never encounter any of them in real life.

  4. What's not to like? Jam? Good. Meat? Good. Custard? GOOD.
