The CW released the first pic of their new DC character (and the Arrow TV-spin-off) The Flash and, well...it definitely looks like a guy in a Flash mask.

So, there's that.

American Horror Story and Academy Award winning actress Jessica Lange was announced as the new face of Marc Jacobs Beauty today...

The legendary Jessica Lange will star in the next Marc Jacobs Beauty campaign.

This news comes after Charlotte Rampling was announced as NARS Cosmetics' new face. The "American Horror Story" actress channels classic beauty with Marilyn Monroe-esque hair and smokey eye makeup, which we can't get enough of.

New Godzilla trailer

 photo 7331603e-8623-43b3-ab28-95fa06b2d882_zps12e8672b.jpg

Although Bryan Cranston sounds pretty pissed in this one, me thinks this movie might just end up being pretty frickin' entertaining...

Godzilla doesn't seem too happy either.

Enjoyable.

Godzilla opens May 15th.

Live a little

 photo 4358d9db-267f-4d11-872c-17ff5e02810e_zps0d1cabfb.jpg

Other than Mary saying "I'll do it. I have no problem lying", this may have been my favorite scene on the Downton Abbey finale this past Sunday.

“You can always hold my hand if you need to feel steady,” Mrs. Hughes assures a nervous Carson.

"I don’t know how, but you managed to make that sound a little risque,” he replies.

“And if I did? We’re getting on, you and I -- we can afford to live a little," Mrs. Hughes replies.

I really think they'd make a great couple, but I'd hate to see them start out well and then things take a turn (like they did with Anna and Bates, my previous favorite couple) and start making horrible things happen to them.

Honestly, poor Anna and Bates deserve a break. I hate that Anna spent most of the season having to suffer again and, of all the cast members, she's the most likable and kind.

I also hate that I have to wait a whole year to find out what happens next.

But, I'll wait.

Oh...I'll wait.

Tap, tap, tap...

Harold Ramis

 photo a7962ef0-7593-4b24-9e39-11e90204e25a_zps77ba8247.jpg

Very sad news today...

Harold Ramis, the actor, writer and director whose films include "Stripes," "Ghostbusters," "Groundhog Day" and "Analyze This," has died. He was 69.

For more than 40 years, Ramis was a leading figure in comedy. A veteran of the Second City troupe in his hometown of Chicago, he was a writer for "SCTV" and wrote or co-wrote the scripts for "National Lampoon's Animal House" (1978), "Caddyshack" (1980), "Stripes" (1981), "Ghostbusters" (1984), "Groundhog Day" (1993) and "Analyze This" (1999).

A very talented and funny guy for sure.

He will be missed.

New Zealand's national rugby team partnered with new sponsor Jockey Underwear recently and this is the result.

I'm going to have to try that "a couple grapes a day" diet.

With a side of pizza.

The new Godzilla poster was released today and, if this art is to scale, he's gonna be the largest of any of the previous Godzill-i.

We're gonna need a bigger boat.

Bring out the holy hand grenade!

Now, that's a lot of bunnies!

Oh sure, they look all cute with their fluffy fur and big ears. But, we all know what happens when you cross them...

I haven't seen The Lego Movie, but if these bloopers are any indication of what I'm missing...I may just have to check it out.

Ralph Waite

 photo 73d109d8-1fa0-4ecd-93fb-4f573cbbe769_zps1a72e796.jpg

Geez...it really does happen in threes. Another sad passing today...

The Waltons star Ralph Waite, who more recently recurred on Bones and NCIS, has died at the age of 86.

Waite portrayed John Walton Sr. for nine seasons on the CBS Depression-era drama and in three NBC telefilms. After the series wrapped, he appeared on Murder One, Carnivàle and the miniseries Roots among others.

Bones fans will recognize Waite as Booth’s grandfather and caretaker Hank. He also played dad to Mark Harmon’s character Gibbs on NCIS, and recurred on Days of Our Lives as Father Matt.

The Waltons was one of the few TV shows that our whole family watched. I don't think we ever missed an episode.

He will be missed.

Sid Caesar

 photo 3f985b15-0eb9-448b-b406-0e0085f82b0d_zps71259d96.jpg

Sadly, another Hollywood legend passed away today...

Sid Caesar, a television pioneer who reigned as the king of live TV sketch comedy in the 1950s with his inspired brand of mimicry, pantomime and satire on the classic comedy-variety series “Your Show of Shows” and “Caesar’s Hour,” died Wednesday. He was 91.

A two-time Emmy Award-winning performer during his TV heyday in the `50s, Caesar has been hailed as “one of the great TV clowns,” “one of television’s most inventive performers” and “a genius at making people laugh.”

“Television had its share of comedy geniuses,” Times television critic Howard Rosenberg wrote in 1994. “Yet arguably none has been as uniquely gifted and inventive as Caesar. Watching him perform, you just know light bulbs are popping continuously in his brain.”

He was an entertainer in the Golden Age of Television and worked throughout most of his life. He must have had an amazing and entertaining journey along the way.

He will be missed.

Shirley Temple Black

 photo c31e55cb-a921-46d7-b591-2b5248daf8f9_zps0eb7d628.jpg

Very sad news today...

Shirley Temple Black, who as the most popular child movie star of all time lifted a filmgoing nation’s spirits during the Depression and then grew up to be a diplomat, has died. She was 85.

Black died late Monday at her home in Woodside, Calif., according to publicist Cheryl J. Kagan. No cause was given.

From 1935 through 1938, the curly-haired moppet billed as Shirley Temple was the top box-office draw in the nation. She saved what became 20th Century Fox studios from bankruptcy and made more than 40 movies before she turned 12.

Hollywood recognized the enchanting, dimpled scene-stealer’s importance to the industry with a “special award” -- a miniature Oscar -- at the Academy Awards for 1934, the year she sang and danced her way into America’s collective heart.

Although she will be missed, her films will continue to entertain people for years to come.

W Magazine has put together a series of "Pillow Tweets" photos that feature a variety of celebrities in bed (some wearing more clothes than others). The best part about the whole layout was this user comment, regarding the photo of True Blood's Joe Manganiello...

Dear sweet baby Jesus with your golden fleecy diapers and your fists of fury, please bring Joe Manganiello to me and make him mine.

Hilarious and no...I wasn't said user.

No reason needed

Jimmy Kimmel aired another episode of "Celebrities Reading Mean Tweets About Themselves" and, like the others, they are very funny.

The celebs in this one are: George Clooney, Jon Hamm, Jennifer Garner, John Goodman, Bob Balaban, Sarah Silverman, Tom Hanks, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Benedict Cumberbatch, Rob Lowe, Cate Blanchett, Tim Robbins, Bill Murray, and Matt Damon.

Always entertaining.

Always.

Let it go

I haven't seen Frozen, but I do enjoy this ditty from the film and, since it's nominated for Best Song at the Oscars...I just might have to check it out sometime.

I do love me some Idina Menzel (from Wicked) when she sings.

Twist of Fate

 photo Olivia_zps99d7a213.jpg

Well, it look's like Olivia Newton John is performing in Vegas for the summer...

Fans hopelessly devoted to Olivia Newton-John are in for some good news today — but don’t have a heart attack. The Australian singer-songwriter and actress (“Grease,” “Twist of Fate,” “Xanadu”) announced today “Summer Nights,” her residency at the Donny & Marie Showroom in the Flamingo beginning April 8, with tickets going on sale 10 a.m. Friday.

“I am thrilled to be able to call Las Vegas home for a while,” said Newton-John in a news release. “I have performed here many times through the years and have had nothing but wonderful memories, and I look forward to even more fun at the Flamingo.

“I am especially thrilled that a portion of every ticket sold will benefit the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Center.” (Newton-John was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992.)

The production will feature an eight-piece band, and the setlist is expected to include early hits “Have You Never Been Mellow,” “Let Me Be There,” “If You Love Me, Let Me Know” and “I Honestly Love You,” as well as “Grease” fan favorites “Hopelessly Devoted to You,” “You’re the One That I Want” and “Summer Nights” and 1980s hits “Xanadu” and “Physical.”

Dates for “Summer Nights,” all starting at 7:30 p.m., are April 8-12, May 6-10 and 27-31, July 1-5 and 29-31 and Aug. 1-2, 5-9, 12-16, 19-23 and 26-30. Tickets are $69, $99 and $139, with additional service fees. A special meet-and-greet package is $249.

I might just need to get myself to Vegas, baby!

Philip Seymour Hoffman

 photo ac0702d1-c13d-4b81-8836-1272d5d52bd1_zps0c3e041b.jpg

Some very sad news over the weekend

Oscar-winning actor Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead in his Manhattan apartment Sunday of an apparent drug overdose, law enforcement sources said. Police said Hoffman, 46, was found on the bathroom floor and pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators found two bags of what is believed to be heroin inside the fourth-floor apartment, law enforcement officials said. A needle was in the actor's left arm, and eight empty glassine-type bags that usually contain heroin were found in the apartment, law enforcement sources told CNN.

He was really a great actor and always fun to watch.

He will definitely be missed.
