VUE to a kill

This is disappointing...

Car dealership operator Penske Automotive Group announced on Wednesday that it has cancelled plans to acquire General Motors' Saturn unit. As a result, GM said it will wind down the brand and dealer network, potentially putting 13,000 Saturn dealership jobs at risk.

As a result, GM said it would begin to wind down the brand and its roughly 350 dealerships nationwide.

I love my 2005 Saturn VUE and, frankly, the service I always got when I went to the dealership. I mean, not many "regular-person" car dealerships give you a free car wash every time you bring your vehicle in for service.

I know that Saturn was not a brand that screamed "prestige" or "you're in the IN-crowd", but they always were great, affordable cars for me over the years.

I'm sorry to see the brand go.

Speaking of going, I'll be heading back east tomorrow for three weeks to visit family and friends. I'll be posting as often as I can and uploading photos along the way (the fall colors are just starting to turn...yeah!).

It's been a rough few weeks, so I'm looking forward to a change of location, hanging out with everyone, and clearing my mind and soul.

As long as people play nice, I won't have to stop this car.
