I hope everyone has a great long weekend with your family or friends. And, if things get tense, perhaps you can all watch this together to help make things better.

Mr. Koenig
SNL released an additional sketch with Will Ferrell that was edited out this past weekend...
Yeah...they made a good choice to cut it.

Crisis On Infinite Earths
A trailer for the upcoming Crisis On Infinite Earths was released today...
I've enjoyed seeing all of the CW heroes come together each year for their crossover events, so am really looking forward to this one too.
It all starts on Sunday December 8th.

The next season of Doctor Who will be airing sometime next year, with a special New Years Eve day preview.
Enjoyable.

Make it so!
It appears that the director of TV's Fargo and Legion series may be writing and directing the next Star Trek movie...
Paramount Pictures is in final talks with Noah Hawley to write and direct a Star Trek film. Through his 26 Keys production banner he will produce along with JJ Abrams and his Bad Robot banner. Hawley will helm the fourth film in this iteration of the venerable franchise, with the Enterprise crew led by Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg and Karl Urban.
In addition to his groundbreaking series Legion, Hawley serves as executive producer, writer, director and showrunner on FX’s Emmy-winning limited series Fargo. He currently is in production on the fourth season, which stars Chris Rock, with Hawley directing the first episodes.
I like both of those series and, of course, love Star Trek.
All available body parts are crossed that this will happen soon.

The Fifth Avenue
The first trailer for the upcoming HBO sci-fi/comedy series Avenue 5 was released....
It looks like it's trying to be a cross between The Love Boat and The Orville. I'm not sure whether that combo is gonna work or not.
Guess we'll find out when it comes out in January.

The Death and Life of John F. Donovan
The trailer for the The Death and Life of John F. Donovan was released today...
It has a great cast, including Kit Harington and Susan Sarandon, and looks like something that would make me cry, so I'll probably watch it.
The movie opens on December 13th, but will also be available On-Demand the same day.

Even though the first season of The Witcher doesn't start airing on Netflix until December 20th, the network decided to move forward with a second season today.
Enjoyable.

Fantasy Island
The first trailer for the upcoming Fantasy Island movie was released today...
It's definitely not going to be "Smiles, everybody...SMILES".
I'm not sure how I feel about this.
A part of me understands that they can't just recreate the cheesy original show, but the other part of me kinda hates that they're taking a fun family-friendly classic and just turning it into another typical horror movie that I'll likely not see.
If it's successful, I "can't wait" for the inevitable horror versions of other childhood shows and movies. I suppose this horror recut of Mary Poppins is actually more likely to be a reality soon...
Although, I might actually see that.
Fantasy Island opens on February 14th.

The Invisible Man
The first trailer for the upcoming The Invisible Man remake was released today...
It's definitely a different take on the classic story. It looks like it's going to be two "fun-filled" hours of spousal abuse.
I guess Elisabeth Moss didn't feel she was suffering enough doing the Handmaid's Tale.
We'll see how the reviews are when it opens on February 28th.

Ew, Baby
The first trailer for M. Night Shyamalan's upcoming Apple TV+ series, Servant, was released today...
That was definitely NOT what I thought it would be about, based on the early photos and short teaser trailers.
But, it also looks really good and like something I'd need ANOTHER pay streaming service to view.
Devil!
For those of you who have the service, you can start watching it on November 28th.

Eight is enough
The trailer for the upcoming Dolly Parton-themed Netflix series, Heartstrings, was released today...
I do enjoy Dolly and her music, so this will probably be like 8 mini-Hallmark movies with a good soundtrack.
I like it.
They become available on November 22nd, ya'll.

Created by magic
A new full trailer for Netflix's upcoming series The Witcher was released...
It's looking really good and Henry Cavill appears to be a great fit for the character. I'm really looking forward to seeing this when it becomes available on December 20th!
