Sisters

Game of Thrones' Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams made the cover of the latest issue of Rolling Stone. They definitely look just a "little" different than they usually do on the show.

You can read the full article here.

I can't wait until the final season starts up again on April 14th.

I really can't.

Another dimension

A full trailer for the upcoming revival of The Twilight Zone was released today...

Although I don't get CBS All Access, this trailer doesn't really compel me to change that. It doesn't really look scary or intriguing. It just looks a bit chaotic, with all of the quick jumps and cuts. You don't really get a sense of any of the actual stories or situations.

Regardless, we'll see how the reviews are when the series premieres on April 1st.

Surprisingly, I haven't seen ANY of the previous Toy Story films and I'm fairly certain I would enjoy them.

I have some catching up to do before this one opens on June 21st.

A new trailer for Avengers: Endgame was released today...

They're definitely doing a good job of not revealing much about the plot or what is going to happen, which I kind of like.

Plus, it's the first trailer with Captain Marvel included.

Me likey.

We'll get to see how it all turns out when it opens on April 26th.

Buckle up

 photo Screen Shot 2019-03-13 at 8.23.06 PM_zps78hfjp9y.png

I guess I should probably see the first one before the sequel comes out on December 13th.

I only have a gazillion other things to watch before it.

I like a challenge.

A whole new trailer

A new trailer for Aladdin was released today...

This one seems to give a much better look at the overall story and added some of the music that it's known for around the world.

I'm indifferent to this movie, but it does look like it might be a lot of fun.

The movie opens on May 24th.

A new Shazam trailer was released...

Although it doesn't look as serious as most superhero movies, it does look like a lot of fun (maybe more like Guardians of the Galaxy). Plus, early reviews have been pretty good.

I'm looking forward to seeing this when it opens on April 5th.

The first poster for Maleficent: Mistress of Evil was released today, with the announcement that the sequel will now open on October 18th (moved WAY up from it's original release date of May 2020).

Hopefully that's a good sign.

I loved the first movie, so am really looking forward to seeing this in the Fall.

Luke Perry

 photo Screen Shot 2019-03-04 at 7.22.47 PM_zpsiqqclzuz.png

More sad news today...

Riverdale and Beverly Hills, 90210 star Luke Perry died today after suffering a massive stroke last week. He was 52.

Perry had starred as Archie’s dad, Fred Andrews, on the CW’s Riverdale. He began his career in the early 1980s, including an arc on the soap opera Another World, and would become a household name on Fox’s Beverly Hills, 90210, starring as Dylan McCay from 1990-95 and again from 1998-2000.

Born on October 11, 1966, in Mansfield, OH, his other early film credits included 8 Seconds, Normal Life opposite Ashley Judd and the Rodney King drama Riot. His other TV credits included an arc as the ill-fated Reverend Jeremiah Cloutier on HBO prison drama Oz, and the post-apocalyptic 2002-04 Showtime drama Jeremiah.

It's always sad when someone young dies and so unexpectedly. I met him once and he was a really nice guy.

It can happen to any of us on any given day.

Enjoy your life as much as you can, people.

He will be missed.

Katherine Helmond

 photo Screen Shot 2019-03-01 at 4.59.15 PM_zpsetw20snr.png

Very sad news today...

Actress Katherine Helmond has died. She was 89. Helmond, who famously portrayed mother Mona Robinson in ABC’s Who’s The Boss? for eight years and Jessica Tate on Soap of complications from Alzheimer’s disease at her home in Los Angeles.

Making her television debut in 1962, the Texas native starred in various plays, shows and films, including Family Plot, Brazil and the Cars movies (in which she voiced Lizzie).

But her most memorable role would be that of the feisty Mona in Who’s The Boss? (1984-1992), for which she earned two supporting actress Emmy nominations. Before her Who’s The Boss? run, Helmond earned praise for her portrayal of Tate family matriarch in ABC’s soap opera sitcom Soap (1977-1981).

She was a very funny actress and will definitely be missed and fondly remembered.
