The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios in Florida has added a new light show, "Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle", and it's pretty spectacular...
That castle is absolutely my favorite part of the park.
If you haven't visited...you must.

Wonderful Reviews
The reviews for Wonder Woman are finally out and, as you can see by the numbers from RottenTomatoes, they seem to be almost overwhelmingly positive.
I'm trying to keep my hopes low, but these reviews are making it very difficult for me to not go completely mental with excitement.
I must say.
Wonder Woman opens everywhere this Friday June 2nd.

Young Sheldon
The first trailer for the Big Bang Theory spin-off, Young Sheldon, was released this week...
I don't watch Big Bang Theory regularly, but I've seen enough episodes to enjoy their version of Sheldon as a kid. It's actually pretty funny and the kid is kind of hilarious.
I just may have to watch this when it premieres in the Fall.

Roger Moore
Very sad news today...
Sir Roger Moore, the third actor to take on the legendary mantle of James Bond, has died at the age of 89.
A star of the TV screen during the mid 20th-century—in starring roles such as Ivanhoe, Maverick, and most famously as Simon Templar in The Saint—Moore achieved global fame when he replaced George Lazenby as the new star of the James Bond franchise.
Moore played the hero—a suave, more humorous bent on the iconic British spy in comparison to his predecessors—across seven feature films between 1973 and 1985, covering franchise classics like The Man with Golden Gun and The Spy Who Loved Me.
He certainly had a long career and will always be fondly remembered for his fun James Bond portrayal, giving the character a much-needed sense of humor.
He will be missed.

Wonderful Posters
Warner Bros. has done an excellent job creating a nice variety of posters for the upcoming Wonder Woman movie. These three are the most recent ones...
I just bought tickets to see an early viewing next Thursday, June 1st (tickets on sale now).
Exciting!
Wonder Woman opens everywhere June 2nd.

Avatar: Flight of Passage
Disney World's new Pandora: The World of Avatar section of the park will be opening in a couple of weeks. However, a few people have been given access early and we now have our first full video of what the "Flight of Passage" experience will be (where guests fly across Pandora on a Banshee)...
The visuals look pretty amazing and will likely make guests squeal with delight (as they did in this video) while also making them feel like throwing up for many years to come.
The ride opens on May 27th.

Mummy Issues
The final trailer for The Mummy was released today...
It looks like Tom Cruise will be doing a lot of running in this movie.
Said every Tom Cruise movie ever made.
The Mummy opens on June 9th.

Queens of the Desert
CBS finally revealed the first photos from their upcoming Star Trek: Discovery series today AND the first full trailer...
I like it and am cautiously optimistic for now.
The series features Sonequa Martin-Green (The Walking Dead) as First Officer Michael Turnham (right) and Michelle Yeoh (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) as Captain Philippa Georgia (left) and takes place before the original Kirk-Spock Star Trek.
After all of the delays (it was supposed to be ready in March) and lack of promotion, I was getting very concerned that it might get cancelled before it ever aired.
However, I think the effects, uniforms, and cinematography look pretty cool and, if they keep that up, we just might have a fun new Star Trek series to enjoy after all of these years.
The first season (15 episodes) is set to premiere sometime this Fall on CBS/CBS All Access.
Enjoyable.

The Orville
The first full trailer for Seth Macfarlane's upcoming Star Trek spoof, The Orville, was released today...
Seth is a huge Star Trek fan, so this series should be a lot of fun. It's got a great cast (including Agents of Shield's Adrianne Palicki) and really good visual effects.
Since Star Trek: Discovery continues to be delayed (it was supposed to be on the air now), I think this will be a great replacement until it finally shows up sometime later this year.
The Orville will air Thursdays from 9:00 -10:00 pm on FOX in the Fall.
Exciting!

Rise of the Warrior
The final Wonder Woman trailer was released this week...
Although the studio has released several shorter TV trailers over the past week, I feel like they've done a good job of keeping the trailers updated, without the feeling that we've already seen the entire movie.
I'm really hoping this movie turns out to be good, but am trying to keep my hopes realistic and balanced.
Fingers and all available body parts crossed.
The movie bursts onto screens June 2nd.

Built Ford Tough
The first full trailer for Blade Runner 2049 was released today...
It definitely has a similar look/feel/music to the original Blade Runner movie and also has a great cast (including Harrison Ford from the first film).
I'm definitely looking forward to it!
We'll see what everyone thinks once it opens on October 6th.

Mummy Memo
The Mummy team released a cool behind-the-scenes video that gives a bit more insight into their new female villain...
I do like Sofia Boutella (Kingsman and Star Trek Beyond), so will be interested to see how she does in this and what the reviews say before I decide to see it either way.
For now...looks pretty good.

Valerian Poster
A new poster for Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets was just released...
It's probably smart for them to accentuate the Valerian branding because no one is going to remember the "and the City of a Thousand Planets" part when they go to buy a ticket.
Honestly, Ethel.
