Cockadoodie-do!
This is great news....
American Horror Story is ratcheting up the Misery in Season 3. Oscar winner Kathy Bates is joining FX’s hit spookfest as a nemesis to Jessica Lange, TVLine has learned exclusively. Bates will play the best friend of Lange’s new character, who turns into her enemy.
Details on Horror Story‘s third season remain scarce, but series cocreator Ryan Murphy previously confirmed that Lange will play a “glamour cat leading lady,” in stark contrast to her gloomy Asylumwardrobe. Ryan also teased that the new season will be "more historical in nature" and take place in modern day.
But just like past seasons, we will see different “time periods” and “there [will] also be different cities.” Horror Story vets reuniting with Lange in Season 3 include Lily Rabe, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Taissa Farmiga and Bates’ former Six Feet Under co-star Frances Conroy.
Kathy has actually worked with Jessica before in Men Don't Leave, one of my favorite movies from the 90's (which is also where Chris O'Donnell got his first film role).
Kathy Bates is always good in everything she does...she should be great in this too and hopefully give Miss Lange a little run for her Cra-Cra money!
Squeee!

Under Where?
Ellen finally selected an underwear model to represent her line of Ellen Underwear.
After a runway show and some QA...she let the final three battle it out in a round of "Know or Go", which eliminates contestants by, literally, dropping them from the podium if they answer incorrectly.
It must be sweeps week.
And I'm okay with that.

Gold Fingaaaaah!
Miss Shirley Bassey rocked the Oscars last night with her song...as did Adele, who also won an Oscar for her song Skyfall.
Atta girl!
I also enjoyed the parody song "We Saw Your Boobs" from the opening of the show. I thought Seth MacFarlane did a fine job hosting and really don't think he is deserving of all of the bad press about it.
Guess haters gotta hate...
If you want a peek at how the backstage interviews go, check out this one with Jennifer Lawrence, where some idiot reporters ask her some very stupid questions, including about how she felt when she fell. Her reactions and responses are hilariously honest and entertaining!
Also for his special post-Oscar show, Jimmy Kimmel created a "sequel" to his unmade film Movie: The Movie, called Movie: The Movie 2V. It's pretty funny and has a lot of stars in it. The best part, besides "Release the TATUM!", is Matt Damon's green-screen bit with the "sandwich".
Here is the first one, from last year...

Silver Fox and Friends
Anderson Cooper and his partner, Ben Maisani attended the recent Vanity Fair Oscar pre-party and made a stop by the photo booth for a quick pic.
It also appears that Neil Patrick Harris and his partner, David Burtka, did the same...but likely after a few more drinks...
Tip it!!

Downton Boogie
This edit of the cast of Downton Abbey singing One Direction's "What Makes You Beautiful" is very well done and funny.
The "Pappa...Mamma" section is especially entertaining.
That...and the Dowager Countess getting to ring her bell a couple of times.
I'm easily amused.

Road Rage
Lordy...if Downton Abbey gets any more grim, this may have to be their new ad campaign for Season 4.

Summer Sun
Here are trailers for two movies that look pretty interesting for very different reasons. The first is the Fast and the Furious 6, which brings Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson back together again, along with the rest of their motley speed-zone-ignoring friends.
I don't care what anyone says, I enjoy these movies. If nothing else, it is mindless well-edited action and lovely visuals (including the scenery).
I also watched this trailer for Perfect Parents, with Naomi Watts and Robin Wright. It's about two mothers who fall in love...with each other's sons. It opens April 3rd.
I have a feeling that these Cougars are either going to be very sad or VERY happy at the end of this movie.
Just a guess....

Wonder Twins
Lordy...the twins from Desperate Housewives (Max and Charlie Carver) have really grown up (and out) since leaving Wisteria Lane. They are now working on the Teen Wolf series.
Must have been from eating all of those apples.
I wish apples tasted like chips.

Between Two Ferns
This two-part "Oscar Edition" of the FunnyOrDie interview series Between Two Ferns, is pretty entertaining.
Part 1
Zach Galifianakis awkwardly talks to Jennifer Lawrence, Naomi Watts, Christoph Waltz, a drunk Anne Hathaway and Amy Adams.
Part 2
Zach talks to Bradley Cooper, Jessica Chastain, Sally Field and a special "Lincoln" guest...of sorts.
