Dippity Dos

Hobbit-2

A new movie poster for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey was just released by Peter Jackson on his Facebook page.

Those boys must spend a lot of time gittin' thur hur did each morning, cause them are some fancy up-dos they've got going on there.

Declined

Photobucket

The first trailer for Identity Theft starring Melissa McCarthy and Jason Bateman was released today and it looks like it's gonna be pretty funny.

The punches to the throat...

Hilarous!

The movie opens in May 2013.

Lost Elf

Photobucket

We finally get a first-look at Evangeline Lily as new elf, Tauriel, from the upcoming Hobbit movie trilogy (off the packaging of her action figure).

She appears to be in battle-gear, so I would assume that she is more warrior-elf, than lounging-in-her-flowing-gown-by-a-fountain elf.

Excellent.

Scratchy

Wolverine

The first photo from the upcoming The Wolverine movie was released today and Hugh Jackman looks pretty much like he did in films past, although a bit trimmer than I recall.

You definitely wanna watch those claws if you get an itch.

On their own

Photobucket

A longer behind-the-scenes trailer for the upcoming Les Miserables movie was released today.

It actually looks like it's going to be pretty entertaining.

Well...as entertaining as a musical about poverty, suffering, and war can be.

I'm in.

Zachary Quinto materialized on the cover of the new OUT Magazine this week.

He'll also be beaming down into the new season of American Horror Story, which starts airing next month.

Can you tell that I can't wait until the new Star Trek movie opens in May?

I'm absolutely warped with excitement, I must say!

Here is a pic from the upcoming Vanity Fair of Michael Douglas as Liberace with Matt Damon playing his boyfriend, Scott Thorson.

Those are some rockin' mumus.

iPhone 5

iphone5main

After months of speculation, the iPhone 5 was finally announced today...

The next-generation smartphone from Apple has received a new design with a taller form factor and larger 4-inch screen. The new iPhone will also use a new Apple A6 processor instead of the one found on the latest generation iPad.

The new iPhone will run on iOS 6 from the get go, as well as feature a new, improved 8-megapixel camera.

There's also a new dock connector, called Lightening, which means if you're upgrading from an earlier-generation iPhone, your stash of cables will be somewhat useless unless you're willing to spend some cash on the new adapter.

iWant.

Star Trek Into Darkness (no colon).

I would like to see a trailer soon, please.

Rings the bell

downton_abbey_season_3_1

The first trailer for Downton Abbey: Season 3 was released...yeah!

"Nothing succeeds like excess".

I've missed the Dowager Countess (Maggie Smith)!

Plus, she and Shirley MacLaine should be a riot together.

Michael Clarke Duncan

michael-duncan_2328070b

Very sad news this week...

Hollywood is mourning the death of Michael Clarke Duncan, the Oscar-nominated actor who died Monday morning at the age of 54 in Los Angeles.

Duncan, best known for his role in The Green Mile, suffered a myocardial infarction on July 13th and never fully recovered. Duncan, who was engaged to reality start Omarosa Manigault, most recently starred in Fox's The Finder, a Bones spinoff.

He was one of those actors who showed up regularly in a wide variety of films and was always quite entertaining on talk shows. So young...

He will definitely be missed.
