Tick Tock
A new trailer for A House With A Clock In Its Walls was released today...
It looks like a fun old school Disney movie, but with cool effects, Cate Blanchett, and a gang of evil pumpkins.
I hate pumpkins too.
I'm looking forward to seeing this when it opens on September 21st.

This is Ugh
The new trailer for the upcoming Predator re-make was released today....
I don't care that Randall, from This is Us, is in it.
Not. Gonna. See. It.
Hello Netflix.
The movie opens on September 14th.

True Story
I love io9's recaps of TV shows and this one for last night's Westworld finale is spot-on.
I didn't catch or understand half of the things they point out in the article.
My brain was so tired after watching it last night.
It still is.

Koko
Very sad news today...
Koko, the gorilla whose apparent aptitude for sign language endeared her to fans around the world, died in her sleep on Tuesday morning in California, according to the Gorilla Foundation, which oversaw her care. She was 46.
Koko became an instant celebrity in her youth thanks to an early facility with American Sign Language. That fame was bolstered over the years as Koko, a western lowland gorilla, charmed entertainers like Fred Rogers and Robin Williams as well as their audiences.
By the age of 4, Koko had developed a vocabulary of more than 170 words and showed an ability to use language creatively. Koko’s language skills earned her a spot on the cover of National Geographic in 1978 and 1985, and she was the subject of many documentaries. By the time of her death, Koko’s vocabulary had ballooned to more than 2,000 words.
I think just about everyone on the planet has heard of or seen at least an article or documentary about Koko over the years.
What an amazing life she had.

She'll be back
The first photo of Linda Hamilton filming the new Terminator sequel was tweeted out today.
I don't know that we need another Terminator movie, but she and Arnold are both in it and it takes place after Terminator 2 (ignoring all the terrible sequels that came after it)...so we'll see how that turns out.
Good or bad, the film opens on November 22, 2019.

Smiley Cyrus
If you like Will and Grace, then you'll certainly enjoy this fun blooper reel that was just released from the new season.
I don't know how any of them keep a straight (so to speak) face during filming of these episodes.
The good news is that we have a new season heading our way in the fall.
Amen!

Hanging around
Gal Gadot tweeted out the first picture of her back in costume while filming Wonder Woman 1984 in Washington, D.C. now.
Plus, a few shots of her filming some wire work on the streets today also appeared online...
Enjoyable.
I can't wait until it opens on November 1st, 2019!

Happy Endings
This looks like an interesting documentary...
It seems like Scotty was the go-to-guy at the local gas station for just about anything that anyone wanted, sexually, in Hollywood back in the day.
You can't even get someone to wash your windows at a gas pump today.
I'll be looking for this to, hopefully, show up on Netflix one of these days soon.

Trevor Tracksuits
Two interesting tweets went out today and it appears that the "late" Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) somehow shows up in the 1980s for the upcoming Wonder Woman 1984 sequel, which is now filming.
I'm not quite sure how they plan to bring him back, considering it appeared that he died during WW1, but I'm sure they have some crafty twist that'll justify bringing him (or a vision/version of him) into the 1980s.
I guess we'll just have to wait until the movie opens November 1st, 2019.

And beyond
Avengers: Infinity War has crossed a pretty major financial milestone in a very short amount of time...
Disney/Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War has officially crossed the $2 billion worldwide box office mark, joining only three other titles to make that claim: Avatar ($2.78 billion), Titanic ($2.18 billion) and Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($2.06B).
Infinity War worldwide is Marvel’s highest release ever topping 2012’s Avengers ($1.5 billion), and followed by Avengers: Age of Ultron ($1.4 billion) and Black Panther ($1.345 billion). Infinity War completes the feat in its 48th day of release.
Stateside, it’s still going strong, taking 5th place in weekend 7 with $7.2M for a running total of $656.1M, the fifth highest grossing title of all time through June 11. Pic holds the record for biggest domestic debut ever with $257.7M in its opening weekend.
Internationally, Infinity War is the third highest grossing release ever with $1.346B. Its domestic and international debuts over the April 27 weekend combined for a record-shattering global opening of $640.5M even without China. The film opened to a massive $199.3M in China two weeks after the global debut and has gone on to become the third biggest release ever in the country with $369.7M to date.
I wonder if Marvel would just divert the interest payments for these films into my bank account?
They'd barely notice the difference.
But, I definitely would.

Posers
A new poster for Ant-Man and the Wasp was released and, with each trailer that I see, I become more excited for this film.
Can't wait until it opens on July 6th.

Boogie Man
The first trailer for the new Halloween sequel, starring Jamie Lee Curtis was released today...
It looks like they are trying to give it the same look/feel as the original, which is good. I'm not big on movies being too stabby, but if it's not a gore-fest, I just might go see this.
Or not.
The movie opens on October 19th.

A star is re-born
The first trailer for the remake of A Star is Born, starring Lady Gaga and directed by and co-starring Bradley Cooper, was released today...
It doesn't look too bad, although not sure I'll rush out to the theater to see it. But, it would certainly make for a good Netflix night on the couch.
The movie opens on October 5th.

Bend and Snap
It looks like we're going to get another Legally Blonde movie soon...
MGM is near a deal with Reese Witherspoon to reprise her role as the precocious, idealistic Elle Woods in Legally Blonde 3, and they’ve brought back most of the creative team from the first film.
It has been 17 years since the original, and the sequel, Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde came out in 2003. But the film has been a staple for young-female audiences who’ve rediscovered it on DVD or through the hit stage musical that continues to tour. The original grossed $141 million worldwide on an $18 million budget, and the sequel brought in $124 million on a $45 million budget.
The world can certainly use Elle Woods now.
Let's hope she brings the laughs along with her when she shows up again.

Peppermint
The first trailer for Peppermint, starring Jennifer Garner, was released...
Although the title is a bit soft for this type of movie, it does look like Alias: The Movie (and I loved the TV series), so I definitely plan to see it.
The movie opens sometime in September (TBD).
