Brothers and Sisters
Game of Thrones fans know that Cersei Lannister's full reaction to hearing Princess Leia confess such a "scandalous" thing would likely be exactly this...
And then she would probably stab her.

The Lady In The Van
While we anxiously await Maggie Smith's return in the final season of Downton Abbey in January, here is the trailer for her upcoming movie, The Lady In the Van.
The film is based on the true story of a playwright who befriended a homeless woman and allowed her to park her van (where she lived) in his driveway for many years and their oddball relationship that developed over time.
It looks like a fun film and she's always wildly entertaining in anything she does. So, I'm definitely looking forward to it.
The film opens on December 4th in limited release and then expands into more theaters starting January 15th.

Trinity
Total Film features the stars of Batman v Superman on it's new cover. One of the few new Wonder Woman images to be released from the film, which is nice.
To go along with that, I found this new fan-created trailer for Justice League: Crisis, which brings to life (using the wide-variety of DC characters from TV/Film) the comic book story that imagines all the various incarnations of DC supherheroes from each multiverse of Earth coming together to fight a common foe.
It certainly could be an awesome film if Warner Bros. was ever able to pull something like that together. Although, it's a shame the trailer didn't add Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman in there too.
I may need to write a strongly-worded letter...

Super Troopers
In honor of the new Star Wars trailer being released this week, why not start your weekend off with these Stormtroopers dancing to Beyonce's "Single Ladies"?
Darth Vader really needs to loosen up.

Rumor Has It
Adele announced on Facebook today that her new album, 25, comes out on November 20th.
"My last record was a break-up record and if I had to label this one I would call it a make-up record. I'm making up with myself. I'm making up for lost time."
Speaking of her breakup record, 21 spent 24 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart -- the most weeks atop the list for any album by a woman. The album has been on the chart every week of its release: 243 weeks and counting (through the Oct. 31-dated chart). 21 has sold 11.2 million copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen Music, which makes it the tenth-largest selling album since Nielsen began tracking sales in 1991.
I'm really looking forward to this release...it'll be nice to have some new music from her after all of these years.
And, if this first song/video release of Hello is any indication of what we should expect, then BRING IT ON!
Her voice is just...amazing.

To the world
A new trailer was just released for the upcoming movie Joy, starring Jennifer Lawrence, Robert DeNiro, and Bradley Cooper...
It's a great trailer with a really good cast. I really liked Silver Linings Playbook and The Fighter, so hopefully this film will rank up there too.
Joy opens on December 25th.

High Life
The BBC has released their first photo from the upcoming Absolutely Fabulous movie...
In the movie, which is adapted from the BBC TV series, Edina and Patsy are still living the high life: shopping, drinking and clubbing their way around London’s trendiest hotspots. Blamed for a major incident at an uber-fashionable launch party, they become entangled in a media storm, and are relentlessly pursued by the paparazzi. Fleeing penniless to the playground of the super-rich, the French Riviera, they hatch a plan to make their escape permanent, and live a life of luxury forever.
I've been a fan of this show from the beginning, so it's nice to see the AbFab team back together again on another adventure.
Cheers!

New Star Wars poster
A new poster for Star Wars: The Force Awakens was released last night in advance of a new trailer that is supposed to be released tonight during the football game (and, likely, online a few minutes later). Also, people can start purchasing tickets for the movie at select theaters after the trailer airs tonight as well.
Everyone seems to be represented, except for Luke Skywalker (unless he's in disguise in there somewhere).
Interesting.
I'm sure that all will be explained soon.
UPDATE: And here is the new trailer...
Awesome!

See food
This has to be one of the weirdest romantic-comedy movie plots ever and, yet, I think it also might be kind of awesome to watch...
In a dystopian near future, single people, according to the rules of The City, are taken to The Hotel where they are obliged to find a matching mate in forty-five days. If they fail, they are transformed into beasts and sent off into The Woods. In that setting, one man escapes into The Woods and falls in love with a Loner, despite the rules.
I like Rachel Weisz and Colin Farrell and the trailer looks very quirky, like a Cohen Brothers or Charlie Kaufman movie (always fun to watch).
Plus, I like the scene where the nurse asks Colin Farrell about his dog and he says it's his brother, who was with them a year ago and "didn't make it".
I'm in.

It has begun...
MTV released a new extended trailer for The Shannara Chronicles at Comic-Con in NYC this weekend...
I'm really looking forward to this, so I hope it doesn't suck. But, if the series is half as good as this trailer...I think I'm gonna be all good.
The 2-hour series premiere is on January 5th at 10pm.

DC Exclusive released a video that interviews the costume designer for Batman v Superman who discusses and shows the various details that went into making Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman look so good.

Hail, Caesar!
The Cohen Brothers released the trailer for their upcoming film, Hail, Caesar! today and it looks like it'll be a LOT of fun...
It's got a great cast and looks like another one of their usual hilarious period-piece comedies, like Fargo, which is one of my favorites. Their films are always beautifully shot and feature a great all-star cast.
Can't wait!
The movie opens February 5th.

The Buzz
It was announced today, as many speculated, that Evangeline Lily will become The Wasp in the upcoming sequel to Ant-Man..
Marvel has just dropped a surprising bit of news: the third phase of its cinematic universe is getting even bigger. Not only have three mysterious new movies been added to the schedule, but Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne are teaming up for Ant-Man and The Wasp!
Marvel revealed the news today, slotting in Ant-Man 2, now renamed Ant-Man and The Wasp, for a release date of July 6, 2018. The company touts the title as its first to be named after its starring heroine.
I enjoy Evangeline Lily, so that's great news. Also, since Ant-Man did much better than anticipated at the box office, it looks like we'll be getting even more insect-specific super-heroes on the big screen soon.
Hopefully we'll even get to see Ant-Man's most famous super-hero relative...
I hear that Aunt Bee makes a mean apple pie and, since her son was a sheriff, knows her way around the law.
Don't nobody mess with Aunt Bee.

What a world
MTV released new key art for their upcoming Shannara Chronicles series today. If the show is anywhere near as good as the trailer, we're gonna be in for a pretty awesome new adventure series.
Here is a great behind-the-scenes look...
Can't wait!!

Statuesque
DC Collectibles announced their upcoming Wonder Woman statue of Gal Gadot, from the Batman v Superman movie.
They did a pretty good job with her new look from the film...
Mental Note: Add to Christmas list.
In honor of this, here is a cool remix of the Wonder Woman theme song, with clips from a variety of Wonder Woman projects, including the unaired Wonder Woman TV pilot that starred Adrianna Palicki (from Agents of Shield).

Bring Him Home
The Martian opens today and, so far, it's been getting pretty good reviews. I can't wait to see it!
In honor of that, here is Matt Damon re-enacting EVERY one of his movie roles this past week on the Late Show with James Corden...
That was kind of awesome.

Hello Cupid
The final poster for Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 was released today and I'm surprised and excited to see that they've evidently given Katniss the ability to fly.
That should come in VERY handy as they storm the Capitol in the finale.
