Hair-don't
A new behind-the-scenes video about the making of the upcoming Marvel's Inhumans series was released today...
Although I'm looking forward to watching it and am happy to see the actor who played Ramsay Bolton in Game of Thrones playing another bad guy, it still looks very cheesy to me. I'm certainly not going to pay to see it in IMAX this weekend.
But, I will check out the first couple of episodes and see how much Velvetta oozes through my screen before I decide if I'm going to commit to the whole season.
The series premiere's on ABC September 29th and will be airing in some IMAX theaters starting tomorrow for two weeks.

Pre-Yada
Netflix released the first trailer for Jerry Seinfeld's new upcoming comedy special, Jerry Before Seinfeld...
It looks like it should be pretty entertaining with some fun Jerry history along with it, which is all I ask of it.
The special makes its debut on September 19th.

The Game Revealed
The Game of Thrones season finale was last night and it was pretty intense. Although we have to wait at least another year until the final season, HBO just released the first of seven new behind-the-scenes shorts, called The Game Revealed, which should help tide us over for another few weeks.
Hot on the heels of season seven’s conclusion, HBO announced a new short-form show called The Game Revealed. In seven installments, it will explore the making of each episode from this season. The first episode of The Game Revealed is all about the premiere episode of this season, “Dragonstone”...
Every Monday, a new episode will go up on HBO’s various platforms, including HBO Now, HBO Go, HBO On Demand, and other related portals.
I love seeing how all of the creative forces pull together to bring these crazy stories and amazing visual effects, both big and small, into each episode. It's mind-blowing.
Also, if you want to see a closer look at the very intense Dragon pit meeting of the gang with Cersei last night in the finale, check out this new video as well.
It's pretty surreal and funny to see them all in full costume checking their cell phones towards the end of the video.

Magically delicious

The new episodes start airing on October 11th.

Wonderland
Great news for the Wonder Woman movie...
Warner Bros. Pictures’ Wonder Woman passed the $800 million mark worldwide this weekend with more than $404 million domestically and more than $396 million overseas. Wonder Woman has climbed to the 23rd spot on the all-time domestic box office list and is currently at No. 64 on the worldwide list.
The film cost $149 million to make.
That's awesome news!
I'm so glad that it's been so well-received (and it hasn't even opened in Japan yet). Plus, it comes out on DVD on September 19th, which should also add quite a bit to its financial windfall.
She is a wonder.

Beyond the wall
We got another round of Dragon smackdown on Game of Thrones Sunday. Unfortunately, things didn't go as smoothly as the last outing. Still....an amazing scene.
HBO released a new behind-the-scenes video on the making of this episode that is a must-see for anyone who enjoys finding out how they do what they do.
It really is amazing to see the amount of time and creativity that goes into every detail of an episode. They covered a quarry in Iceland in concrete to re-create an ice lake they could use just for the final battle.
Very cool.
The final episode of this season airs on Sunday.

Jerry Lewis
Very sad news over the weekend...
Jerry Lewis, one of Hollywood’s greatest slapstick comedians, a filmmaker of exceptional popularity and novelty, and a humanitarian who transformed the celebrity telethon into a massive fundraising tool, has died.
He was 91.
Lewis was one of the dominant figures in show business during the 1960s and 1970s. His comedy act with Martin made them one of the most successful teams of all time, and Lewis’ films following that break-up made him one of the top movie draws of the era. Such comedy classics as The Bellboy (1960) and The Nutty Professor (1963) were huge successes.
Lewis also is remembered for his Herculean efforts as the national chairman – and face of – the Muscular Dystrophy Association. For years, his Labor Day telethon marked the end of summer for many, and it helped raise close to $2.5 billion for research into the disease. He was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1977 for those efforts. Lewis left the telethon in 2011, but his annual closing song, You’ll Never Walk Alone, became one of the indelible moments of those efforts.
His international success, particularly in France, where he was revered as a comedy genius, was no less impressive. Lewis won eight “best director” awards in Europe, and was presented with the French Legion of Honor award in 1984.
He had a very long and, overall, prosperous career and helped raise a LOT of awareness and money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
He will be fondly remembered and missed.

The friendly skies
British Airways created a very entertaining safety video with a variety of celebrities, including Ian McKellen, Gillian Anderson (who seems to have chosen a proper British accent for this), Mr. Bean, Gordon Ramsay, and many more.
I wish all safety videos on flights were this fun. It would certainly make faking interest in the live demonstration so much easier.

The Inhumans
A deeper look into the world of the upcoming ABC Marvel show, The Inhumans, was released today...

An interesting combo.

Bran-Face
Seth Myers decided to watch last week's episode of Game of Thrones with SNL's Leslie Jones and the results are, as you can imagine, hilarious...
“Bronn is the dude in the ‘hood that knows where all the $1 cigarettes is.”
That was pretty entertaining, especially when Conleth Hill, who plays Varys, walks in the room and watches the rest of it with them.

Mother!
The first trailer for the Jennifer Lawrence horror movie, Mother!, was released today...

Last night's Game of Thrones episode kind of went like this...
You gonna shoot arrows at me? Okay...my turn.
