Luke Who's Tweeting

A photo of Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) was tweeted out today to let people know that production has just resumed on the new Star Wars movie. The Force must have worked its magic on Harrison Ford's injury from a couple months back.

Luke is looking a bit Obi-Wanish.

He's also looking a bit Walker, Texas Rangerish as well.

Interesting, it is.

Lauren Bacall

Another Hollywood legend passes...

Actress Lauren Bacall, the husky-voiced Hollywood icon known for her sultry sensuality, died Tuesday. She was 89. 

Her international fame began before the backdrop of World War II, in 1944 with her first film, "To Have and Have Not," which she made with future husband Humphrey Bogart. They married in 1945, had two children and went on to make more films together, including "The Big Sleep" (1946), "Dark Passage" (1947) and "Key Largo" (1948). Bogart died in 1957. 

Bacall's confident, smoldering expression -- the down-turned face and up-turned eyes -- earned her the nickname: The Look. 

Bacall won two Tony Awards and an honorary Oscar; she was nominated for three Emmy Awards.

She was one of the biggest stars of her time and one of the most famous women in the world.

She will be missed.

Robin Williams

Very sad news yesterday…

Robin Williams -- who first made America laugh and eventually touched "every element of the human spirit" in a remarkable range of performances -- died at his Northern California home Monday. Williams apparently took his own life, law enforcement officials said. He was 63.

President Barack Obama's statement sent from the White House summed it up:

"Robin Williams was an airman, a doctor, a genie, a nanny, a president, a professor, a bangarang Peter Pan, and everything in between. But he was one of a kind. He arrived in our lives as an alien -- but he ended up touching every element of the human spirit. He made us laugh. He made us cry. He gave his immeasurable talent freely and generously to those who needed it most -- from our troops stationed abroad to the marginalized on our own streets."

He was a multi-talented man who brought a lot of laughter and smiles to the world. So sad that he couldn't find his way out of his depression…it's really an awful disease.

He will be very missed.

Two Exotic

The first trailer for The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, the sequel that brings back all of the original cast and the addition of Richard Gere.



I loved the first movie and am hopeful that this one will be just as enjoyable and entertaining.

Judi Dench and Maggie Smith rarely disappoint.

My eyes…MY EYES!

As part of their 25 Best Characters on TV issue, Entertainment Weekly decided to do a bit of a switcheroo on their covers with Kevin Spacey dressed as Selina Meyer from Veep and Julia Louis Dreyfus dressed as his character, Frank, on House of Cards.



They should totally let them switch and play those roles for a season…ratings would be crazy!

Must Go Faster

Jeff Goldblum attended a friend's wedding recently and, when asked if he'd be willing to be a part of the "Jurassic Wedding" meme that so many wedding photographers are doing now, the Jurassic Park co-star happily obliged (he's in the lighter suit)...



Hilarious.

Also, ironically, Jurassic World finished principal photography today.

Jurassic Parks

The director of next summer's Jurassic World movie tweeted this out to Chris Pratt (the star of his movie) to wish him well on today's opening of Guardians of the Galaxy…



I've liked Chris since I first saw him on Parks and Recreation and I'm glad he's doing so well. I think he's going to be very busy for quite a while.
