Jane and Katie

Photobucket
Katie Couric interviewed Jane "Sue Sylvester" Lynch for 30 minutes on @KatieCouric. It's a really good piece and they cover a lot of fun topics (the making of the "Vogue" video, Jane's career, her upcoming marriage).

So, put down your megaphone, sit back and enjoy.

Katie and Chelsea

I'm not sure how I missed this last year, but I found a really fun interview of Chelsea Handler on @Katie Couric.

I do enjoy her.

The Late Show with David Craterman

I enjoy Dave.

Yesterday, after John McCain canceled his appearance at the last minute (he claimed he had to rush off to the airport so he could fly to Washington to "help" fix the economy), Dave was obviously a bit put off, but made light of the situation...at first.

Halfway through the show, Dave found out that John McCain had not, in fact, rushed off to the airport, but had actually rushed over to speak to Katie Couric instead (which was showing live as he was taping his show).

He was a little less "no big deal" after that discovery...

"Need a lift to the airport, Senator?"

Hilarious.

And speaking of hilarious, check out Wanda Sykes on Leno, talking about the "Bail Out" and Sarah Palin...

"It's welfare for the rich, that's all it is."

She is a very funny lady.

FYI: I am flying to Atlanta, GA tomorrow for a few days, then to Asheville, NC for a few more days, THEN to Ohio for a week (to visit the family), so I'll be doing my best to post in each place over the next two weeks (depending on my access to a high-speed Internet connection, which may not be available all the time).

I forget that not everyone is connected to the Interbots in the same way I am out here in LA.

I wonder if I can upload photos using two cans and some string?

Mental note: Pack two cans and some string.

What is internet anyway?

They should just make a reality show out of this new BMW commercial and let Katie Couric and Bryant Gumbel travel the world in that car babbling as they try to figure out what things mean without access to any research, other than a single phone call to a mysterious unseen woman named Allison (much like Nile's wife Maris on Fraiser).

I'm sure hilarity would ensue.

Undeclared Candidates Debate

Tina Fey hosted Saturday Night Live again this past weekend and gave us another hilarious Sarah Palin sketch...

"I want to acknowledge that this week we finally vanquished one of the world's great villains -- and I for one am thrilled to say good riddance to Katie Couric."

I love Tina.

Hardly a petal

Katie Couric has done a very entertaining interview with Veep star, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, about the new season of the show and a variety of other fun topics...

Julia is definitely one of the funniest actresses around and can swear right up there with the best of them, which I always enjoy.

This Emotional Life

PBS just started airing an excellent 3-part special called "This Emotional Life" (parts 2 and 3 air tonight and tomorrow night). Here is a little bit about it...

This series represents what television does best. It opens a window into real lives, exploring ways to improve our social relationships, cope with emotional issues, and become more positive, resilient individuals. Hosted by Daniel Gilbert, Harvard psychologist and best-selling author of Stumbling on Happiness.

They have a wide variety of regular folks and celebrities (Katie Couric, Chevy Chase, John Leguizamo, Larry David, Alanis Morissette, America Ferrera, Richard Gere) participating in the program who reveal some very personal stories about challenges in their own lives and what they've done to get through them.

Here is a clip from Elizabeth Gilbert (author of "Eat, Pray, Love") about intimacy...

I can't recommend this show enough. You can never learn too much about people and what we each experience and do to get through this life.

The first episode aired last night and, if you missed it, can be viewed on their official site here.
