Makin' Whoopi

To be honest, it's usually a challenge for me to watch "The View". I love Whoopi and Joy, but when the whole gaggle of gals get into a heated conversation, the over-talking makes my brain hurt.

However, this clip of them with McCain today was moderated well and, when McCain starts discussing how he felt that Roe vs Wade was a very bad decision and how he'd like to see changes...things get interesting.

And by interesting, I mean Whoopi asking him whether she should be concerned about becoming a slave again.

At least Barbara offered to take good care of Whoopie and Sherri Shepard on the plantation should it be reinstated.

You can see the other two clips from the show here on JoeMyGod.

Tip it!

I didn't see the pre-Grammy's, so just found out that Kathy Griffin finally won one for her last comedy special, Calm Down Gurrl...

Griffin, who has been nominated six times, won her first Grammy in the category, joining Whoopi Goldberg and Lily Tomlin as the only female winners of the award.

She danced up to the stage during the pre-telecast ceremony at the Nokia Theatre, where many of the night's awards are handed out before the live show airs on CBS, and excitedly accepted her award, name-checking a number of big stars.

Griffin thanked Oprah Winfrey, Ryan Seacrest, Paula Abdul and Lindsay Lohan -- "any of the Lohans actually" she said -- for helping her with her comedy. "I have to thank a lot of people who got me here, darn it, and I don't know all of them but they are an integral part of my success," she said.

Now all she needs is an Academy Award and she can retire.

Hopefully that never happens.

The retiring part.

Here is her acceptance speech...

Patrick Stewart went on The View today and surprised Whoopi Goldberg with an invitation to join the second season of Picard (the first seasons starts airing tomorrow on CBS All Access)...

That is awesome!

They are practically forcing me to subscribe to that damn channel.

Devils!
