Bird's the word

This Netflix movie looks good...

I like Sandra Bullock and the movie A Quiet Place. So, this looks like that, except with blindfolds.

We'll see how good it is when it becomes available on Netflix on December 21st.

The first trailer for Ocean's 8 was released today...

I love me some Sandra Bullock and the rest of the cast (and the other Ocean's movies), so I'm definitely in!!

The movie breaks into theaters on June 8th.

Ladies in waiting

 photo 9439821d-c214-429c-a768-e2c5cf975402_zpsl2zkhhwt.jpg

The first cast photo for Ocean's 8 was released today....

“In Summer 2018, the tide will turn as (left to right) Debbie Ocean (Sandra Bullock) attempts to pull off the heist of the century at New York City’s star-studded annual Met Gala. Her first stop is to assemble the perfect crew: Lou (Cate Blanchett); Nine Ball (Rihanna); Amita (Mindy Kaling); Constance (Awkwafina); Rose (Helena Bonham Carter); Daphne Kluger (Anne Hathaway); and Tammy (Sarah Paulson).”

I enjoyed the previous Ocean movies (with George Clooney, Matt Damon, and Brad Pitt) and really like all of the actresses in this new version.

Exciting!

Ocean’s 8 will be released on June 8, 2018.

Defying Gravity

Sandra Bullock's blockbuster would have ended a LOT sooner if Superman had stopped by (make sure you watch to the very end).

Hilarious.

Spin City

The official trailer for the upcoming Sandra Bullock-George Clooney movie Gravity was just officially released and it looks just as harrowing as the clips that were posted previously...

I hope the studio marketing department is distributing appropriate quantities of Dramamine to each of the chains that have committed to showing the film.

If they don't..I would definitely not want to be on any of those theater cleaning crews.

Detached

A new trailer for the upcoming Sandra Bullock/George Clooney movie, Gravity, was posted today and it looks freakishly intense...

NASA definitely shouldn't use this trailer to help recruit new astronauts.

Uhhh...no, thanks.

Oh, it's ON!

The Heat opens today and it's a RIOT!

I saw a sneak preview a few weeks ago and will have to go see it again because there were so many funny moments, that the laughter ran over the next funny lines. Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy are just so damn funny together.

If you like either of these gals...you should not miss it.

Here is the trailer...

Also, here is a great video bit that Sandra Bullock did last year with Chelsea Handler.

It's really funny.

OMG...they slay me!

Floaters

The first trailer for Gravity, starring George Clooney and Sandra Bullock (two of my favorites), was just released and it looks like it's gonna be a little intense....

My spacesuit would have to be made out of Depends, cause if that happened to me...

Well, let's just say there'd be no "dry" in my dock.

The movie opens on October 18th.

Speaking of George Clooney, he produced this star-studded movie (based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning play) and it looks like it's gonna be a lot of fun.

Was that Meryl and Julia throwin' down there towards the end of the trailer?!

Get ready to RUMBLE on November 8th!

Heat is on

Melissa McCarthy (she of Bridesmaids and Mike and Molly) has two movies coming out next year and, as always, she continues to be hilarious.

Here is the profanely-entertaining trailer for Heat, with Sandra Bullock...

And here is Identity Theft, with Jason Bateman...

These both look pretty funny, but I do hope that Melissa will also do some other fun comedies, one day, where she gets to play someone who appears to have taken a shower.

Regardless, she's still a very funny lady.

Very.

Tramps

Although I enjoy jumping on a trampoline as much as the next guy, I don't think I'd have the nerve to do any of these tricky shenanigans....

Besides the usual "uh...no way" response most of us would have, I'd be afraid that I'd get so comfortable with it, that I might accidentally drop off of a parking structure after drinking and forget that there wasn't a trampoline down below to send me back up.

Ouch!

Also, someone posted this video on Facebook of Sandra Bullock confronting Chelsea Handler in the shower. It's pretty hilarious (if you want to see a larger version, click here).

They are both very funny gals!

Trailer Park

Here are a couple of interesting trailers that were released recently that caught my eye:

The first is called Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close with Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock. It's about a kid who loses his father during 9/11.

I like both of them, but it looks like a big box of downers.

I'll still probably see it anyway cause I sometimes enjoy a good weepy movie with a heart and Sandra Bullock.

And then there is A Joyful Noise, starring Queen Latifa and Dolly Parton. It looks like a gospel version of Sister Act.

I definitely love me some Dolly Parton and it's been a while since she's done a movie, so I hope it does well for her.

But, I will say...her plastic surgeries really stand out in this trailer and it's a bit distracting for me. I'm glad they at least acknowledge it and deal with it in the film too.

This photo of Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves "merged" came up in a random Google search I did for "Gross Candles".

I love the Internets.

Blind-sided

Photobucket

With all of the focus lately on whether Sandra Bullock would divorce her husband or not (it was announced today that she will), it seems that she managed to, miraculously, keep the adoption of a baby completely out of the press.

"Yes, I have filed for divorce," the actress, 45, tells PEOPLE in the latest issue, in which she also reveals she has adopted a son, 3½-month-old Louis.

"He's just perfect, I can't even describe him any other way," Bullock reveals exclusively in the new issue of PEOPLE, announcing that she is the proud mother of Louis Bardo Bullock, a 3½-month-old boy, born in New Orleans. "It's like he's always been a part of our lives."

Bullock says she is now finalizing the adoption as a single parent.

Atta' girl.

With all of the exclusive scoop that they've been given, I have a feeling that this particular issue of People Magazine is gonna sell a butt-load of copies...

Just like Jesse James

I really feel sad for Sandra Bullock...

I was so moved when, at the Emmys, she said that she was so happy to finally find someone who had her back and how much she loved him.

That sense of trust and security is so rare to find in a partner and, now, is just another example of why it's even harder to believe that it's possible for the rest of us to hope for in this world.

Men are bad.

The envelope please...

The Academy Awards were actually a lot of fun tonight. I thought Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin's opening was hilarious. The writing was funny and they really played off of each other nicely. That Paranormal Activity spoof they did was a riot!

There were some obvious winners (Mo'Nique and Jeff Bridges) and some interesting surprises (The Hurt Locker winning over Avatar and Sandra Bullock winning over Meryl Streep).

Plus, my roommate Joel redesigned, printed out, and framed some really fun movie posters to include a few of our friends who came over to watch the show tonight. So, of course, I have to share those here too.

Another nice surprise was Star Trek winning an award for Best Makeup. It is the first Academy Award that any Star Trek movie has ever won (and there have been ten other Treks before this one). So, naturally I was very excited about that (as you can see by my smile in the poster above).

Unfortunately, not everyone who is nominated can win. Like Colin Firth in A Single Man (which is a great movie, if you haven't seen it).

Matt Damon didn't win for Invictus (although it's always nice to see him).

Sherlock Holmes didn't win either, but I thought Robert Downey Jr. was quite entertaining while presenting with Tina Fey (who I always enjoy) for the writing awards.

Even though Hugh Jackman did a nice job hosting last year, I kinda hope they let Steve and Alec host again next year. Or Abe Vigoda and Betty White...they were sure funny together in that Snickers commercial.

I also think that Sean Penn might have been tipping the hooch backstage before he presented tonight. Otherwise, can someone please explain to me what the hell he was rambling on about before he finally handed out his award?

I haven't seen Inglourious Basterds yet, but I hear that Christoph Waltz (the guy who won Best Supporting Actor) was really good. Although, I'm just not sure I can sit through the scalpings and other bloody stuff that is supposed to be scattered throughout the film.

Has anyone seen Young Victoria? I do enjoy Emily Blunt (she was so funny in The Devil Wears Prada), so was happy that it at least won an award for Costume Design.

Because...without costumes, everyone would be naked in every movie.

And, as we learned from Harvey Keitel in The Piano...that isn't always a good thing.

The Proposal

The manscaping trend continues...

The new Sandra Bullock movie, The Proposal, opens this weekend and the PR machine is in full gear. In order to get as many girls and gays into the theaters, they've managed to get Ryan Reynolds on, not one, but FOUR covers of Entertainment Weekly.

Is it a good idea?

Abs-olutely!

Of course, Sandra Bullock will bring in a certain amount of people on her own (she is Sandra Bullock, after all). But, it never hurts to add a dash of Betty White tweaking your teets to help ease all age groups into the cineplex. After that hilarious spoof "interview" Betty, Sandra and Ryan did a few weeks ago...there is a chance that the movie just might be funny.

I actually like all three of those actors and, as much as it looks like rental material, I just may head to the theater this weekend for a wee bit'o wacky comedy and silly shenanigans.

Check out Betty White on the "Chelsea Lately" show talking about the movie and being a slut.

I love me some Betty White!

Indecent Proposal

Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds have a new movie coming out soon called "The Proposal". Evidently, according to this behind-the-scenes clip, their co-star Betty White didn't quite get along with Ryan and things got a little "verbal" on the set.

I love Betty White.
