It was announced today that Showtime is bringing back Twin Peaks...exciting!

Twin Peaks fans’ quarter-century wait is over. One of the top cult series of all time is coming back with a new limited series on Showtime from its original creators, David Lynch and Mark Frost. The nine-episode series will go into production in 2015 for a premiere in 2016 to mark the 25th anniversary of when the series finished its run on ABC. In a fact that will delight Twin Peaks devotees, Lynch and Frost will write and produce all nine episodes, with Lynch set to direct every episode.

The new Twin Peaks will be set in the present day, more than two decades after the events in the first two seasons. It will continue the lore and story of the original series, with Lynch and Frost committed to providing long-awaited answers. Kyle MacLachlan hinted at his return as Cooper on Twitter later today: “Better fire up that percolator and find my black suit

I loved the first season of this series and am glad that David Lynch will be writing and directing every episode.



Time to stock up on some cherry pie and logs.

Nick Jonas, one of the tween songsters from the Disney-formed Jonas Brothers has a new TV series coming out this fall called Kingdom...



It looks like he'll spend a lot more time walking around in a ring with his shirt off hitting and grappling with guys as a UFC fighter, than bursting out into song.

I, for one, approve of this career change.

Here is another "classic" movie from SyFy that I can't wait to not watch…Lavalantula.

Adding to the mayhem is a reunion of three key cast members from the Police Academy canon: Steve Guttenberg — starring as a washed-up ’90s action hero who must save us — Leslie Easterbrook and Michael Winslow. Can they save the City of Angels from the eight-legged volcano spawn?? Nia Peeples co-stars in the movie, which has begun production for a summer 2015 premiere.

CBS will soon be adding Supergirl to their series lineup…

Supergirl, Greg Berlanti and Ali Adler’s drama based on the DC female superhero, has landed at CBS with a series commitment. The size of commitment eclipses the series commitment DC Batman drama "Gotham" got at Fox last fall.

The Supergirl character was created by writer Otto Binder and designed by artist Al Plastino in 1959. Of the several women who have assumed the caped girl persona in the comics, the Berlanti-Adler series will feature the most popular one: Superman’s cousin, Kara Zor-El, who shares his super powers and vulnerability to Kryptonite. Unlike WBTV’s long-running Superman series Smallville, which focused on the superhero’s journey up to acquiring the powers and becoming Superman, Supergirl starts with Kara beginning to use her abilities.

Born on the planet Krypton, Kara Zor-El escaped amid its destruction years ago. Since arriving on Earth, she’s been hiding the powers she shares with her famous cousin. But now at age 24, she decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be.

Technically, if she is 24, wouldn't she be considered SuperWoman or Woman of Steel or….Steel Magnolia?
