The Fastest Man Alive will meet the Girl of Steel on March 28, when the Flash will make an appearance on CBS’ Supergirl. According to the press release, The Flash’s Grant Gustin will only be guest-starring on Supergirl. There are no other details as of yet, including whether Melissa Benoist will return the favor on The CW’s show at a later date. This TV team-up has been rumored basically since Supergirl was announced, since it and The Flash share the same executive producers, Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg.
The CW’s DC universe is eying another major expansion with Superman & Lois, a present-day drama based on the DC characters, starring Supergirl‘s Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch as the iconic couple. The hourlong project, now in development, hails from The Flash executive producer Todd Helbing, DC Universe architect Greg Berlanti and Warner Bros. TV, where Helbing and Berlanti are under deals.
Hoechlin has been portraying Clark Kent/Superman on the CW’s Arrowverse series since 2016, primarily on Supergirl. Tulloch was cast as Lois Lane last year when she appeared alongside Hoechlin’s Man of Steel in the 2018 Arrowverse crossover. She has since appeared as Lois Lane on Supergirl, The Flash and Batwoman. Both Hoechlin and Tulloch are set to reprise their roles in the upcoming big Arrowverse crossover event.
I enjoy him when he's on Supergirl, so we'll see if this moves forward after the pilot is complete.

We’ve known for a few months the (frankly, still wild to contemplate) news that Brandon Routh would be appearing in the CW’s upcoming Crisis on Infinite Earths mega-crossover of the Arrowverse and beyond, not just as Legends of Tomorrow’s Atom, but also Superman. Well, a version of Superman amongst many, apparently—and not even the Superman Routh had previously played on the big screen either. Instead, Routh would be playing the older Superman of the iconic DC Comics Elseworlds miniseries Kingdom Come, by Mark Waid and Alex Ross. The five-part Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover between The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, Black Lightning, Batwoman, and somehow basically every other old DC TV show you like begins on the CW this December.
These "events" are always fun to watch and there's even a possibility that Lynda Carter will be showing up to play a version of Wonder Woman.

The five-hour crossover’s first three episodes will air in December, with the final two installments arriving after the winter hiatus in Jan. 2020.

Supergirl: Sunday, Dec. 8 at 8 p.m.

Also...this Sunday is THE series finale of "Lost".
I doubt that they're not gonna be able to answer all of the questions that they have managed to fill our brains with over the years, so I'm just gonna be hopeful that they at least provide some kind of satisfying ending to this whole mystery.
If they don't...I'm gonna flash-sideways and smack'em upside their flash-backside.
The CW released the first pic of their new DC character (and the Arrow TV-spin-off) The Flash and, well...it definitely looks like a guy in a Flash mask.
The first extended trailer was released this weekend with the new James Bond movie. If you haven't seen it there (and it looks much cooler on a big screen!), then check this out...
If it's half as good as this trailer looks...we just might be in for a very fun ride with the Trek kids!
The official studio site for the movie was also updated yesterday. It's a nice visual concept, but unfortunately, it's a very flash-heavy site and tends to freeze up a bit at certain points (it happened twice for me in the photos section).
It never ceases to amaze me how some studios continue to build these huge, fancy, technology-filled sites, while forgetting that many people will have trouble viewing it on their computers. When that happens...people just stop going to their site, which is the opposite of what the studios want.
To the studios who do that, I say....
That is illogical.

"Forgetting Sarah Marshall" is very funny! I was howling at times (which I'm sure everyone around me appreciated) and, for me, that is well worth the ever-rising admission prices these days. It's about a regular guy who gets dumped by his famous girlfriend (she's a sexy detective on one of those "CSI-type" crime shows), so he decides to get away to Hawaii to get his mind off of it. But, guess who's there with her new boyfriend when he gets there? No, not Pinky Tuscadero....his ex.
I bet you never expected that, did you?
Even if you did, it's still chock-a-block full of hilarity and fun, so add it to your list of public outings.
I also saw "Iron Man", which for some reason, I keep telling people I saw "The Rocketeer" or "Iron Giant". Similar titles, but very different movies. If you're an action movie fan, then you'll definitely want to see this movie on a big screen. The story is good, Robert Downey Jr. does a great job and the effects and action sequences are top notch. Plus, it was nice to see Jeff Bridges in a movie...it's been a while.
I saw it at the Arclight theater in Hollywood, where they featured one of the "Iron Man" costumes in the lobby. It was pretty cool up close and I, along with the rest of the Hollywood riff-raff hanging out, were taking cell-phone pics as soon as we saw it (I wish I had remembered to bring my regular camera...cell pics just don't turn out as good).
Being a comic book fan, it's always exciting to see a well-produced and acted superhero movie. So often, they turn out to be cheesy messes ("Fantastic Four" or "Catwoman", anyone?) or just a CGI showcase (Something the last "Hulk" movie and, from the trailers, the upcoming "Hulk" movie appear to share). But, every once in a while, they get it right (the latest "Batman" film, the "X-Men" movies).
Debra Winger as "Wonder Girl"...a successful career (and likely new agent) soon follows.
Production values and effects have advanced so far now, that they can almost do anything. How times have changed. I used to watch all the superhero TV shows when I was a kid..."Batman", "Wonder Woman", "Isis", "Shazam", "The Flash"...even "Electra Woman and Dyna Girl". When you look at them now, they are so much cheesier than you remember, but still fun to watch for a quick stroll down memory lane. At the time, those shows were IT...they were hip/cool and worth scarfing down two bowls of Quisp in front of.
Then I remembered a 70's TV special called "Legend of the Superheroes", a primetime special with several of the popular TV heroes of that time, including Burt Ward and Adam West as Batman and Robin and one of the only live-action inclusions of the one comic book I actually collected...Green Lantern. Looking at it now, it feels like a completely different show and planet. I don't remember it having a laugh track...it was a variety show-type comedy and featured Ed McMahon? Well, if you watch this clip...you'll see what I mean.
Any show that features Ruth Buzzi making an entrance carried in by two body builders in speedos and superheroes collecting a much-needed paycheck, really is must-see TV!
I have always watched a lot of television. Probably more than any sane person should admit to. Of course, sanity is overrated.
However, until today after looking over various articles on Man of Steel (which I really enjoyed), I had never heard of the TV series The Adventures of Superboy that ran from 1988-1992.
How did I miss this?
It was even produced by the same people who made the Christopher Reeve Superman movies and I LOVED those (well, at least the first two).
It just boggles my mind that I've never even heard of the show and I used to watch anything on TV that had Superheroes...
Variety has previewed their upcoming cover with Greg Berlanti (producer of The Flash and Supergirl TV shows among many others) and here is what he says about a possible crossover episode...
“The network has said publicly at this point they’re going to keep her to themselves,” says Berlanti. “I always approach the shows as a fan first, so I would love to see (a crossover). I think in success, all things are possible. But there’s a lot that would have to happen before everybody might say yes to that.”
We all know that if Supergirldoes well...that crossover will definitely happen.
As Supergirl prepares to fly faster than a speeding bullet from CBS to the CW, the network has announced that Everybody Wants Some! star Tyler Hoechlin has been cast as Superman/Clark Kent, the first live-action television incarnation of the Man of Steel since Smallville starring Tom Welling went off the air in 2011. As previously announced, Superman will make his debut on the DC Television universe, which also includes The Flash, Arrow, and Legends Of Tomorrow, at the start of Supergirl‘s second season when he visits Kara in National City.
I haven't seen him act in anything, but his body of work, evidently, speaks for itself.
We'll see how he fares when the second season of Supergirl debut's on the CW in the Fall.
I saw Ted last night and it was hilarious and definitely not meant for children.
However, adults should be prepared to laugh their asses off.
It is directed and co-written by Family Guy's Seth MacFarlane, so you know it's going to be inappropriate and filled with pop culture references. Seth is also the voice of Ted (the bear).
Speaking of pop culture, Sam Jones plays a very integral part in the new movie and is a hero to Mark Wahlberg and Ted. Who is Sam Jones, you say? Well...duh duh duh duh duh duh...
