Wing and a prayer

This Wingsuit flyer's flight over Switzerland is amazing and quite beautiful (embiggen the screen to get the full effect).

I would love to do something like this, if it didn't involve me voluntarily leaping off of a mountain with no support wires or surrounded by a force field.

Other than that...I'd be all over it!

Criss Cross

It looks like Glee's Darren Criss is heading back to Broadway soon...

Darren Criss will return to Broadway in “Hedwig and the Angry Inch,” stepping into the title role after John Cameron Mitchell, the musical’s co-creator and its original star, rotates out of the production in late April.

“Glee” star Criss looks poised to help sustain business at “Hedwig” with a fanbase that turned out in droves for his last stint on the Main Stem. In 2012 he appeared in “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” for a three-week run that kept the revival’s weekly sales well above the million-dollar mark in a post-holiday time period that usually slows sales at shows across the board.

Neil Patrick Harris launched the Broadway revival of “Hedwig” with a Tony-winning turn that was followed by Andrew Rannells, Michael C. Hall and Mitchell. Hall has temporarily returned to the show for a weeklong run while Mitchell recovers from a knee injury he sustained during a recent performance.

Criss stars in “Hedwig” for a 12-week run that starts April 29 and stretches into the summertime months, when New York City tourism keeps Broadway sales robust.

He's got a great voice and will probably help keep seats filled in the theater over the summer.

I wonder if Darren is nervous about taking over the roll from the guy who originated it...

He seems fine with it.

This video has been creatively edited to show Professor Snape's Harry Potter storyline in chronological order. After watching this, you'll likely feel a little differently about his character and what he went through for Harry...

Someone has got to be chopping onions around here somewhere...

Trainwreck

A trailer for Amy Schumer's upcoming movie Trainwreck was just released today and, like her TV show, Inside Amy Schumer...it appears to focus on her being drunk and sleeping around...a lot.

I like Amy and Bill Hader (if you haven't seen him in The Skeleton Twins with Kristen Wiig, you should!) and Judd Aptow's movies are usually pretty funny...so it might be worth watching.

If not, I'll just reread one of Chelsea Handler's books and call it even.

It looks like Spider-Man will now be joining the rest of the Marvel movie universe very soon...meaning, he's gonna be hanging with Thor, Iron Man and the whole Hee Haw gang...

Sony Pictures Entertainment and Marvel Studios announced today that Sony is bringing Marvel into the amazing world of Spider-Man.

Under the deal, the new Spider-Man will first appear in a Marvel film from Marvel's Cinematic Universe (MCU). Sony Pictures will thereafter release the next installment of its $4 billion Spider-Man franchise, on July 28, 2017, in a film that will be co-produced by Kevin Feige and his expert team at Marvel and Amy Pascal, who oversaw the franchise launch for the studio 13 years ago. Together, they will collaborate on a new creative direction for the web slinger. Sony Pictures will continue to finance, distribute, own and have final creative control of the Spider-Man films.

Bob Iger, Chairman and CEO, The Walt Disney Company said: "Spider-Man is one of Marvel's great characters, beloved around the world. We're thrilled to work with Sony Pictures to bring the iconic web-slinger into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which opens up fantastic new opportunities for storytelling and franchise building."

I would not be surprised if he makes his first appearance in the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Enjoyable.

Fifty Shades of Bricks

I wasn't too impressed with the trailer for the live-action Fifty Shades of Grey, but this version definitely switches things up...

Jupiter Ascending opened today and it's getting horrible reviews.

I don't care.

I'm still going to see it this weekend!

There...I said it.

As you were....

UPDATE: I actually ended up really enjoying the movie. So screw those cranky critics!

The first trailer for the Poltergeist remake was released today...

I really loved the first one, so was dreading another crappy remake of a classic film favorite. However, I have to admit, the trailer and cast look pretty good.

That being said, there's absolutely no replacing her...

The first trailer for Magic Mike: XXL was released today and it looks like Channing Tatum, Joe Manganiello, and Matt Bomer are back for more of the same...

To be honest, I thought the first movie was awful.

Of course, I also know that no one should go to a stripper movie expecting a good story. We all know that folks are really going to be seeing this for the...

A new trailer for Jurassic World was released during the Superbowl yesterday and it featured some new footage that included Chris Pratt training some Velociraptors...

The movie is starting to look really good and the new dinosaur that they created appears to have a very large pie-hole.

It's never a good idea to be standing in front of something like that when it's hungry.

Some people never learn.

The movie opens June 12th.
