Fake Jake

Buzzfeed got a letter from Jake Gyllenhaal's lawyer asking them to remove a faux picture of him in his underwear.

Apparently Jake Gyllenhaal has a big problem with people photoshopping his head onto another person's body. We received a takedown notice from Jake's legal team regarding this picture of a fake “Jake” posing like Grace Jones in his underwear. We removed the photo, but we're still wondering: what's the big deal?

They also have a link to "Every Shirtless Photo of Jake" on the internet.

Whoever says research is boring is obviously not working at Buzzfeed.

Killer Art

The first trailer for the upcoming Netflix original thriller, Velvet Buzzsaw, was released today...



The art horror film reteams its stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Rene Russo with Nightcrawler writer-director Dan Gilroy. Its features an all-star cast including Toni Collette, Zawe Ashton, Tom Sturridge, Natalia Dyer, Daveed Diggs, Billy Magnussen, and John Malkovich. 

Written and directed by Gilroy, the satirical thriller is set in the contemporary art world scene of Los Angeles, where big money artists and mega-collectors pay a high price when art collides with commerce.

It's looking pretty interesting and Jake Gyllenhaal usually picks pretty good projects, so I'll be adding this to my list to watch for sure.

The film will be available on February 1st.

A couple of stills from Jake Gyllenhaal's upcoming blockbuster movie "The Prince of Persia" were released this week.

The movie is about...well...a prince...



It focuses on the epic story of....ummm...Persia...hmmm...

JustJared posted some pictures of Jake Gyllenhaal from the set of his new movie "The Prince of Persia". I believe the movies is based on a popular video game, so that would explain why Jake is all muscle-mary'd out.

He certainly didn't always have that body...



I'm sure the extreme heat on the set in Morocco helped him sweat off a few pounds. And maybe a little personal training here and there before filming.



Plus, I'm sure that Reese Witherspoon cooked up nothing but veggies and tofu during his months of research for the role.

I hear that the Hollywood couples do that for each other.

I need to find a Hollywood couple to do that for me.

I wonder if Mark Wahlberg and his girlfriend have the time....

It looks like it will be a lot of fun. Plus, it's nice to see Jake Gyllenhaal join the Marvel universe.

We'll see whether he plays a good guy or a bad guy when the movie opens on July 2nd.

Meet the new Green Lantern.

Warner Bros. has finally cast Ryan Reynolds in the title role for their upcoming movie, after months of speculation.



I think Ryan will be a good fit as long as he agrees to work out a bit.

I mean, who wants a superhero with all of that body fat on them?



Speaking of body fat, the first promo poster for Jake Gyllenhaal's upcoming "Prince of Persia" movie was also released this week. It doesn't come out until next year, but the studio knows that the sooner you release tidbits about the plot...people start to decide whether they want to see the movie or not.

The only bits they've released so far have just been a few subtle visual images like this...



I don't know what they're trying to say about the movie with this image, but I have a feeling that some people already have their tickets.

And finally, the OneRing.Net has revealed that landscaping has finally begun on the New Zealand Hobbiton location for the two upcoming "Hobbit" movies that are being made over the next couple of years.







As some of your remember, I paid a visit to Hobbiton last year and had a really great time.



It would be cool to be able to go back when the location is all ready for shooting and see the transformation. However, I'm sure they close the set to visitors once things are in production.

Perhaps if I bring the Prince of Persia and Green Lantern, they'll allow me and my two fat friends in for a quick peek.

It would be rude not to...

The first trailer for the critically acclaimed Nocturnal Animals, starring Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal was released today...



It looks very intense and beautifully shot.

I looks like Entertainment Weekly didn't have much of a wardrobe budget for their photo shoot with Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway who are obviously willing to do anything to promote their new movie, Love and Other Drugs.

And since nudity and discussions about sex never sell magazines, they wisely decided to release three different versions of the cover hoping the star's facial expressions might attract a wide range of ovulating consumers.
