Kathy Griffin was a guest on the new Joy Behar Show on CNN this week and was her usual entertaining self...
I'm reading her book now and am enjoying it a lot. She writes just like she talks, which makes it a fun read.
Speaking of joy, it's pretty cool that Obama won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize...
The Norwegian Nobel Committee said it honored Obama for his "extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples."
The last sitting U.S. president to win the peace prize was Woodrow Wilson in 1919. The other was Theodore Roosevelt in 1906. Jimmy Carter had been out of office for more than two decades when he won in 2002.
I'm sure that the media will have a field day with this and the folks against Obama will find ways to twist the award into some kind of cosmic sign of the apocalypse.
However, I prefer to bypass the stinkin' thinkin' and just say "Congrats, O and enjoy the ride!"

Wow...Joy was a little on the offensive. I love how interviewers say Kathy is off the "D" list and on the "A" list, then put her through the gauntlet. Ellen and Courtney Cox played some sort of "guess what animal I am" game. Joy is asking Kathy to justify claims about her brother's pedophilia. Fortunately, Kathy can take it.
Yeah, I think Joy was in "CNN Mode" and felt like she had to be more serious than she would have been on "The View".
But, you can tell they like each other, so it was fun anyway.
