This may be my favorite Halloween costume yet....from my favorite Christmas movie.
Also, Ellen decided to dress up as Sofia Vergara (from Modern Family) on her show today, which didn't sit too well with Ms. Vergara...
I really enjoy both of them.
Hope everyone has a fun night!

While we wait for Maggie Smith and the new season of Downton Abbey to arrive on our shores in January, we can still catch the Dowager Countess in her upcoming movie Quartet (opens December 28th), directed by Dustin Hoffman.
It looks really fun and has a great cast.
I do love me some Maggie Smith!

When Supermodel Naomi Campbell isn't flinging cellphones at her help, she obviously keeps herself busy by supervising the construction of her spaceship-esque new home in Russia.
I have to admit, I'm pretty jealous that she's built a house very close to what, as a Star Trek-obsessed kid, I always imagined I would one day live (and likely fly) in.
I need to make sure I get into that woman's Will immediately!
Click here to see more construction shots and interior renderings of the house.

I feel that it's important to point out when regular folks do something special just to bring a smile to people in need. These guys get a gold star...
A Pennsylvania window washing service sent a quartet of workers in superhero costumes to brighten windows and spirits at a children's hospital. Edward Matuizek, president of Allegheny Window Cleaning Inc. in Springdale, said the company did not charge the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh for Monday's window-washing by Spider-Man, Batman, Superman and Captain America.
"This isn't about us. This is about them," Matuizek said.
"The kids were loving it," said Errico, who wore the Captain America suit. "Everywhere we went, they were coming in from different rooms."
It's wonderful to see that there really are some super folks left out there in the world.
We definitely need them.

One of the few remaining characters I still love on SNL, Stefon, was on this past weekend to give his Halloween tips for a good time.
He slays me.
And, obviously, himself.
Which also slays me.
Click here to see other Stefon videos...all equally hilarious.

Ellen had Nicole Richie try to see if she could distinguish her perfume from others by having her smell it on a few shirtless male models.
I think in-store sales would increase if they used that method at the mall.
I'm just sayin'.

I love how the kids with their fancy online skills can take a random phrase and make it into a worldwide series of entertaining visuals within minutes.
Mitt Romney's "Binders full of women" statement exploded on the Internets immediately and already has a popular Tumblr page, Twitter account with 14,000 followers, a variety of Facebook pages, and even a jaunty song and video...

It looks like New Zealand is taking advantage of all of the money that the Lord of the Rings and upcoming Hobbit movies are bringing into the country and planning to distribute official currency for everyone to enjoy...
The coins (ranging from $1 NZ to $10 NZ in value), will be accepted as legal tender because currency really needs to stop taking itself so seriously. Of course, each one of these little gems will be worth way more than its face value — the most expensive coins, made from an ounce of pure gold, retail for 3,020 American dolla-dolla bills.
When asked for his sentiments about having his warlocked image appear on money, the academy-award winning actor Sir Ian McKellan said something hilarious: "To put Gandalf on these splendiferous coins is a wizard idea."
I may need to take another trip to Hobbiton again soon.

This cast must be the final sign of the impending apocalypse...
The All-Star Celebrity Apprentice‘s cast of 14 includes Michaels, Trace Adkins, Stephen Baldwin, Gary Busey, Penn Jillette, Lil Jon, Dennis Rodman, Dee Snider, Omarosa, Marilu Henner, La Toya Jackson, Claudia Jordan, Lisa Rinna and Brande Roderick.
I don't have enough "air quotes" available on my computer to fully engulf their use of the term "All-Star Celebrity Cast".
The only "all stars" missing from this cast are Carrot Top, Michael Lohan, and the ghost of Mr. Ed.

This is the first image of Daniel Radcliffe from his upcoming movie, Horns.
Here is a little bit about the plot...
"Horns" is directed by Alexandre Aja ("The Hills Have Eyes") and is based on the best-selling novel by Joe Hill (Stephen King's son). Daniel plays a young man who, via a series of intriguing events, wakes up one morning with a hangover and a set of horns growing out of his head. In addition to the whole waking-up-with-horns issue, Radcliffe's character must also deal with the fact that he is the prime suspect in the brutal killing of his girlfriend, but thanks to a newly discovered power associated with the horns, which forces people to confess their darkest sins, he can use it to find out who really killed his girlfriend.
It sounds more like Voldemort might not be quite done with messing with Harry Potter just yet....

The new Arrow show premieres tonight on the CW with Stephen Arnell in various states of undress.
The plot to this show seems very slim and limiting (Bow and arrow-vs-Gun. Duh), so I think they're gonna have to eventually decide to just keep him completely naked in order to assure that the show stays on longer than a few episodes.
I'm totally in favor of them making that decision.

Honestly...why would anyone do this?
On Friday night, some thirty people participated in a live cockroach eating contest at a reptile shop in Deerfield Beach, Florida. Edward Archibold, who shop owner Ben Siegel described as "the life of the party," reportedly "dominated" the competition, downing dozens of the live insects in a matter of minutes. Archibold claimed first place, and was awarded with an ivory-ball python.
Then, tragically, he died.
According to the Associated Press, none of the other contestants fell ill following the contest, and authorities are still waiting on autopsy results to determine the cause of death.
I mean, I know it's Florida and all kinds of stupid stuff seems to happen down there.
But, who wakes up one morning and decides to rush to the pet store so they can eat a bowl of live cochroaches just so they can win a free SNAKE?!!!
Get it together people!!

The new season of American Horror Story: Asylum starts on October 17th and they've finally released a full trailer for it...
The first season creeped me out frequently, but I think this one is gonna be worse.
Two words: Surgical procedures

The full version of Adele's new theme song to the upcoming James Bond film, Skyfall, was released yesterday and it's beautiful.
It sounds like so many of the classic Bond film themes...her voice is perfect for it.
I love me some Adele!

Oh, it's coming...and there's nothing we can do to stop it....
This Christmas, marks the first time Grease‘s Sandy and Danny have recorded music together in nearly 35 years. Travolta got the idea to make the record “after receiving a Christmastime text from his old friend Olivia noting that their 1978 smash, ‘You’re the One That I Want,’ had just become the best-selling duet in pop music history.”
The season’s hottest stocking stuffer won’t be available for purchase until November 13 — but until then, you can whet your appetite with this amazing track listing:
1. Baby It’s Cold Outside 2. Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree (featuring Kenny G) 3. I’ll Be Home for Christmas (featuring Barbra Streisand) 4. This Christmas (featuring Chick Corea) 5. Silent Night 6. The Christmas Waltz 7. Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas (featuring Cliff Richard) 8. Winter Wonderland (featuring Tony Bennett and The Count Basie Orchestra) 9. White Christmas 10. I Think You Might Like It 11. The Christmas Song 12. Deck the Halls (featuring James Taylor) 13. Auld Lang Syne/Christmas Time Is Here (Medley)
I have enjoyed Miss John at times over her career.
However, I really think Olivia has the better voice.

Seth MacFarlane is going to be hosting the next Oscars telecast...
"It's truly an overwhelming privilege to be asked to host the Oscars, " MacFarlane said in the release. "My thoughts upon hearing the news were, one, I will do my utmost to live up to the high standards set forth by my predecessors: and two, I hope they don't find out I hosted the Charlie Sheen roast."
He's a very funny guy, so this could be quite an entertaining evening.
