Rinse and Repeat

If you're looking for an interesting TV show to watch this summer, now that most network shows have aired their finales, I highly recommend A&E's new Docu-series "Obsessed".

Each week they feature and treat (with the help of therapists) two people with unusual OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) issues. It's fascinating to get a glimpse into the human psyche as you watch regular people struggle to deal with extreme cases of behavior that have been affecting them and their family's daily lives for years.

OCD has often been portayed in movies ("As Good As It Gets") and on TV ("Monk") as a source of comic relief for audiences as they watch characters with freakish behaviors try to work around them in their everyday lives.

This series doesn't do that.

These are real people with real issues who, if they don't find a way to deal with them, will likely lose the few human relationships (friends, spouses, children) that they have managed to keep over the years.

It's a real eye-opening experience and, who knows....you might even learn something new about yourself or someone you know.

The series airs on A&E Monday nights at 10:00 (and reruns a few times throughout the week).
