They're here...

I saw this article about some of the new shows coming out in the fall and, overall...only one, "V", stood out as something interesting.

The "Witches of Eastwick" series looks like a "Melrose Place" version of the original movie (complete with awful dialog) and the "The Vampire Diaries" looks like a "Melrose Place" version of "Twilight" (which is saying a lot).

However, my favorite Lostie, Elizabeth Mitchell (Juliet is-she-dead-or-alive on "Lost") stars in this updated remake of the old "V" series about aliens finally making contact with Earth.

Looks like it could be fun...

Can't wait until one of the Visitors unhinge their jaw and drop a bird in there like they did on the old show...

Enjoyable.

I love your blog because as very into scifi as I am. I completely agree that this show looks like it will rock but I have never seen the original one.

Hey Dustin, that's nice to hear. I only watched the original a couple of times, but I liked the concept of it. So, I think it'll be interesting, with better effects and makeup, to see how this one looks.

Plus, as I said, I really like Elizabeth Mitchell...so that's just a bonus.

Three things.

1. If this means Juliet isn't coming back in the final season of "Lost", I'm going to be very unhappy. Hopefully since it's an ABC series, there's hope.

2. I'm excited to see the hot guy, whose name I don't know, from "Taken" and "The 4400" is continuing his career as the SciFi TV "go to" guy.

3. Jane Badler better be making an appearance in this version. She was the best thing from the original. Sort of the Donna Mills of this Space Opera. And you know how I feel about Donna Mills.

To address your concerns:

1. Elizabeth Mitchell filmed the "V" pilot and "Lost" at the same time...so she could end up doing both. So, we'll have to see if she shows up on "Lost" next year.

2. I didn't watch either of those shows (although I heard that "4400" was really good...so may have to get those DVDs.

3. I have read that the producers of the new "V" are trying to at least get Jane Badler on in a cameo sometime on the show...but nothing is confirmed as of yet.

Who knows, maybe they'll get Jane and Donna Mills both to appear on the show.

That would be "sheer heaven" for you...
