EW has released a couple of the first images for the upcoming Doctor Strange movie starring Benedict Cumberbatch.
Since I don't really know anything about this Marvel character...I'm just gonna have to wait until a trailer comes out at some point this year to find out more.
This one is about the search for someone to play Santa Claus for the kids in the Abbey. They are treated to auditions from the likes of a dirty-mouthed Gordon Ramsay, an indignant Jim Broadbent, Brenda Blethyn as DCI Vera Stanhope and Warwick Davis, who’s looking for a big payday. But Carson (Jim Carter) really wants the job.
The banter at the audition table is especially entertaining.
The new season of Downton Abbey begins on January 3rd.
With Star Wars: The Force Awakens open on every movie screen in the world right now, I thought it would be nice to step back in time a bit to enjoy the original Star Wars films in a new way.
The first teaser trailer for Star Trek Beyond was released online today...
You can definitely tell that the director of Fast and Furious has taken over because this trailer is unlike any other Star Trek trailer to date (it kinda feels closer to Guardians of the Galaxy than anything else).
I'll wait for the full trailer release before I decide whether that is a good thing or a bad thing.
Who knew someone was making a new Tarzan movie? Not me. To prove it, here are the first pics and a trailer for The Legend of Tarzan which were released today...
It's got a good cast/director and looks like every other Tarzan movie that has been made in the past, but with Tarzan wearing jeans as he swings through the trees, rather than a loin cloth.
Those apes must have quite a seamstress hidden there in the jungle.
Netflix just released the first trailer for Chelsea Handler's upcoming four-part documentary, Chelsea Does...
I am a big fan of her books and E! talk show Chelsea Lately and this trailer looks like more of the same style of humor and conversations that I'll likely enjoy from her as well.
Damn you Netflix for making me enjoy your new programming so much!
All four episodes become available on NetflixJanuary 23rd.
The first teaser trailer for season six of Game of Thrones was just released...
Besides the fact that it appears that Jon Snow is definitely coming back, it's good to see that they are finally going to check in with Bran Stark, his half-brother.
That poor kid has been cooped up in the magic tree since the end of season 4 and, I don't believe, it has cable.
I don't know anything about that character, other than the fact that I know he's scheduled to have his own movie in a few years.
So...it should be interesting to find out what powers he has (giant claws and wielding an ancient scratching post?) and how he fits into the whole Marvel Universe.
SNL hasn't been consistently funny (other than "Weekend Update") in a LONG time, but this past weekend they did a sketch that, honestly, had me laughing so hard that I had to re-watch it several times to make sure I hadn't missed anything.
OMG...the fingernails on everyone!
Adele obviously enjoyed the sketch as well, judging by her post...
Of course, that was the only funny sketch in the entire show, but it was WELL worth the wait!
I know some people are getting tired of hearing Adele's "Hello" song and video...
But, not me.
I bought the CD last week and plan to listen to it on my long drive home to see the family and, if anyone starts fighting, I'm gonna play "Hello" and just sit back and watch the nails, blonde hair and fur coats take over everyone and..enjoy.
A new HBO promo was released this week for the upcoming season of Game of Thrones and, as most of us figured out, it looks like Jon Snow is not quite as "dead" as everyone thought.
Of course, it's kinda hard for HBO to pretend that he wasn't coming back when there were constant phone pics of him being posted online by fans at various times during location filming the past few months.
As long as he's not coming back as some decomposing zombie-version of himself, I think we're gonna be all good.
The first trailer for Zoolander 2 was released today and, if nothing else, it features a world where Justin Bieber is no longer with us (and is that necessarily a bad thing?)...
It definitely looks like they made sure that this one was just as silly as the first, which is probably a good thing.
Plus, Kristen Wiig is in it...so, that's ALWAYS a good thing.
I'm not sure how they got an even bigger all-star cast (adding Emily Blunt and Jessica Chastain) for this sequel to the "okay" Snow White and the Huntsman, but Charlize Theron was fun to watch in the first one, so we'll see how it all turns out when the movie is released on April 22nd.
On the plus side, the trailer certainly is beautifully shot...
It's been a while since we attended the first one (2002), but Hollywood loves to make sequels to movies that made money and My Big Fat Greek Wedding made a LOT of it at the time.
So behold...the first trailer for My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2.
It looks like they got most of the original cast back for another round of Greek comedy.
Let's hope it doesn't turn out to be a tragedy instead.
The first trailer for Finding Dory, the sequel to Finding Nemo was released today...
Ellen Degeneres' Dory was definitely my favorite character from the first film and it looks like she's back in all her muttering and hilarious glory for this one too.
The first trailer for the much-anticipated video game-to-movie, Warcraft, was just released a few minutes ago...
I love me some Sci-Fi/Fantasy movies, but I'm not sure about this one. When over half the cast is CGI (and most of the locations), it sometimes bothers me (lovedLord of the Rings, but The Hobbit films were too CGI-y).
They still have some time to tune things up and, possibly, make it look better...so I'm willing to wait and see.
